Coloured hair dilema. Help!

Is there a product on the market that is not permanent that colours your hair for just one night and washes out the next day? I need it in a brown colour. A friend told me that the Schwartzkopft rinses would wash out of my salt and pepper grey hair, but it has made it purple. I now have to grow it out, but need something to cover my hair for an event next week. I will try anything at this stage.

theres one you get from the supermarket in a bright orange foil bag type of thing, No dye will wash out after one wash, semi`s last 8-10 washes but thats it, just go to the hairdressers and ask for a brown that will fade to a nicer colour before it washes out

yeah i don`t think there are many one wash colours sorry brody. but the 8 to ten washes are really good, and if you use product built up remover it can help get the coour out quicker. but why not just have the colour for a few more days? im sure it would look really good:)
