chipped fingernails

Hi,
My fingernails often chip and sometimes, they split and you can almost see another layer of nail underneath (I’m not describing this too good, sorry). I have used Blackmores hair and nail tablets for about 3-4months and used a Sally Hansen nail strengthener and also have lots of calcium in my diet. It doesn’t happen on all my nails, just a few.
Anyone got any ides on some good products to help me or should I go to the doctor and see if they have something?
Thanks,
Anita.

I always use the OPI range, I just love the professional finish,
I pay $9.00 for my OPI`s from my beauty supplier, good quality for cheaper the
price, D.J`s always sells theirs for $20.00 upwards, its just crazy!
and the Sally Hansen Diamond Hardner is just fantastic, I always
use this to harden my nails, keeps them from splitting and breaking.

    Hi,
I`ve Googled and come up with some products to help me. Has anyone tried these products?
    Nail Envy by OPI
OPI Avoplex Nail & Cuticle replenishing oil
    Avon Lavender nail conditioner
Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Instant Nail Hardener

Someone mentioned a Naturopath earlier. How much does that cost?

Yeah, keep them short and neat – and always file after you have clipped them, you get rid of rough edges that can tear or rip. Also, try clipping them after you have soaked them, you`ll find that they wont `crack` whilst your clipping. But short and neat is the best way to go – there is nothing worse than long scraggly nails.
