Chanel Skincare

I’ve just started using the prodcuts from the Hydramax range of the Chanel skincare. Im loving it but have read a few online reviews where people have been unhappy and concerned at the amount of alcohol used in the products. Have you used this and love it like me? Or should I be cautious? I was also torn between using the Hyrdamax or the Beauty Initiale range. Has anyone used both and have a recommendation of which is best? (I am 22 with normal/dry skin).

Hi Britty1,…thats so true…I got the moisturiser in after I stopped using the cream. It is much lighter than the cream. I miss the lovely scent….I’m not using Hydramax at the moment.

Yes the cream is quite heavy. I thought I needed that one but the girl at the counter advised me to get the moisture gel cream moisturiser rather than the moisture cream as it is lighter and easier to absorb. If you had the heavier one, you should try the gel cream, then you still get the lovely smell everyday 🙂

I love the scent of hydramax. I used a few of them in the past and still have one of the hydramax cream, I forgot the actual name.

Last winter my skin became really dry and I used hydramax which really helped but then I began having lots of pimples and zits on my face. I had facial done and the lady told me that the cream is too thick for my skin. I actually normal skin and the dry skin was just surfaced dryness, all I needed was to exfoliate my skin regularly.

But I still think it’s a great skincare product if this suit your skin.

Thanks Roxymisha, just had a look, the range sounds lovely. And the picture of megan fox on the page that the link takes you to, WOW. I know its airbrushed, but what i would do to have my skin look like that!

For high end brands, I would check out Georgio Armani’s new range of skincare which has been rigorously scientifically trialled and tested. Sounds very interesting. Link from US website:

Well i was had been using the SKII Aqua Physics range and the Facial Treatment Essence for the last 3 years, and loved it, but the last mnth i was using i noticed that my skin was quite shiny all day as the moisturiser wasnt absorbing and leaving a layer on my skin. So with great sadness I began shopping round for a new brand, and as Chanel is in the similar price range to SKII it seemed like an easy option. I’m currently using the Hydramax serum and moisturising gel, which feel amazing, and absorb very well, and the smell (which is absolutely divine) is an added bonus. I’d definitely recommend tyring them, based on my own experience. But when reading the other reviews and people talking about the ingredients (of which i have little knowledge on the subject), they worried me a bit. Would love to hear that others are as happy as I, just for some peace of mind!

I am very keen to soon try Chanel skin care! i am currently hooked on my shiseido benefiance range and I have almost finished!! I do think other peoples opinions matter but at the end of the day if the skin care line works for you then that is the most important thing:)
