Burts Bees Survey Link in Newsletter

Hello everyone!

I just completed the survey that was a link in our weekly newsletter, and I was wondering what everyone thought about some of the issues raised regarding “natural/organic” products?

Good to hear. The more education on “”natural”” and “”organic”” products there is, the smarter we shoppers can become!

wow, great to have some feedback on how the survey results are coming back as. I was curious as to how people would view natural, organic etc. as I think a large number are misled and confused with such terms and product marketing. Can`t wait to see the full results.

Thanks for the feedback Leepn, it would be great if the brands and regulators would take note of our concerns, lets hope they do

Hi everyone, just a very quick followup from me on behalf the Burt`s Bees survey.. we`ve done the initial analysis now and .. wow.. there`s news here for regulators and brands to sit up and take notice! The survey found that 91% of respondents had at least some concerns about the claims made about `natural` and almost half of the group do their own online research rather than just settling for what we`re being told. And to we want to see definitions that clearly tell us what the key ingredients are and how they are processed. Plus whether animal testing is used, and reassurances that there are no petrochemicals, no genetically modified ingredients and that preservatives are naturally derived. We will get back to you all when the full report comes out in January. Meanwhile thank you for for caring enough to have your say.

Im just about to do this survey. I`m pretty wary of all those gimmick-products out there that claim to be so-and-so but arent. Hopefully our results will provide the public about what is and what isnt 🙂

I did this survey, too. I`m interested in organic products and hope that the beauty industry will be better regulated in regards to claims of products being natural and/or organic. I would also like to see clearer labelling of ingredients so I can make more informed choices about what I put on my skin.

Thanks fellow Beauties and BH for teaching me about different ingredients, especially `nasties` such as parabens and SLSs. I was surprised by how much I`ve learnt from you all. Cheers, Blissful Beauty : )

    Hi everyone,
I work for Porter Novelli, the PR firm working with Burt`s Bees on this survey. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with us, we really appreciate it. Just wanted to let you know that when the survey finishes on Nov 14 we will be sharing the results around with Beautyheaven, the beauty and health media, manufacturers and regulators – as widely as possible so your concerns and comments will reach the people in the industry, the people who report on it and the people who monitor it. We (Burt`s Bees and us) wanted to do this survey because we didn`t want to make assumptions about what consumers are thinking – your comments here and the survey responses so far are certainly showing it`s an important discussion for the industry. Watch this space for the results (and thanks Beautyheaven for helping us spread the word!)
