Brush You can’t live with out.

I thought I’d start a topic on the one makeup brush you can’t live without.

Mine would probably have to be a powder brush, it only just beats a foundation brush!

I just recently bought the Sigma Synthetic Face Kit which consists of three brushes designed specifically for flawless application of liquid, cream and powder products. I love them! Makes application and blending so much easier and quicker. These have replaced my foundation and powder brushes.

I actually picked up an Almay brush set the other day for about 20$ and it had about 8 brushes in it including a really big soft powder brush it’s excellent and feels so nice on my skin, it also has an angled blush brush, foundation brush, eye contour brush, and eye shading brush + an eye sharpener, I’m actually really happy with it, but I’ve only seen it in about 2-3 stores…

Ooh thankyou very much for the link, it looks so good and its cheap for a brush as well! I think I might just try this one, sometime soon!

Wow I never knew there was such a thing as an eye kabuki brush, must check one out!

I love my EDM eye kabuki brush, I use it to apply a natural looking base shadow then I reapply at the end just to blend out a bit. It’s soooo soft and a good size for me.

I love my Ecotools brushes too – I use the kabuki brush, bronzer brush and blush brush a lot – like almost every day!

Other than than I have a special Body Shop Eyeshadow brush that I’ve had for around 20 years and I still use it when applying and blending an eyeshadow. It’s a great brush! I had a makeover done (around 20 years ago!) at the Body Shop in the QVB building and that is the brush he used to apply my shadow so I bought it that day – he did a really nice job on my makeup and I’ve loved that brush ever since!!

I think my favourite is my Eco Tools foundation brush. I use it to blend concealer for a flawless finish that stays put. I just bought a second one as I often get too busy to wash the one I had enough. They never shed or go brittle.

My favourite should have been my Sigma F55 duo fibre brushes as I have three of them for applying foundation but they shed constantly, the colour runs and they seem to have gone a little brittle despite tender treatment. They do an awesome job though.
