Hello! How are we this week?
A great product to help reduce in-growns is: Caron DepilSpa Ingrown Hair Serum for men & women $20. Apply it daily to the areas of concern and it will help to keep the skin free of in-growns as will regular exfoliation 🙂

I agree – Nurofen is brilliant while waxing and for afterwards too. Also some great advice that a beauty therapist gave me was to not tight undies afterwards and if possible none at all. That way it doesn`t irritate the sensitive skin and reduces chances of ingrowns. Good luck

MissKrispy I found the first time I got waxed was a rude shock to that part of me too! I was quite sore for a couple of days – but that calmed down and I don`t get like that anymore, thank god! Now it doesn`t even hurt that much.

Ive been thinking about getting a brazillain done too, but Ive never even had my legs waxed at a salon before, so I might get that done first

Signe, I struggled within ingrowns too. I gave up on brazilians for that reason.

My skin was so sensitive that after my first brazilian I had to put ice cubes down my pants for 2 days!! Rather amusing now, but not so much then let me tell you. I can`t say it was the waxers fault, I just think it was a rude shock to that part of the body.

I have always struggled with ingrowns after waxing. A friend of mine swore by baby nappy rash cream which i tried after one of my waxes. Now i swear by it too! for the first week after a wax apply nappy rash cream a couple of times a day to stop the ingrowns from forming!

    Hi Sassett,
I have only had good one`s, check out the salon guide on BH for a good salon near you, and scope out the salon before hand to make sure it`s clean(you would be surprised at what I have seen in those places) also look for a salon that specialise in brazillian.

Oh god! I never would! I always reschedule if my appointment falls on that unfortunate week! I figured they`d wear tampons, but god I wouldn`t want to do that to my waxer!! I guess some women just aren`t that considerate! I have a friend who`s flatmate is a waxer and I have heard the horror stories!! Some people are really gross! We`ll leave it at that though!
