Bossy Baby

I have been pretty firm with my bub’s routine up to now (he’s nearly 6months) but have noticed him really pushing back and becoming quite bossy. i don’t give in easily which i think makes him push harder. I’d like to hear opinions what you think is too hard or too soft benefits and shortfalls.

yes i know that one i have a terrible 2 yo girl and man has she got attitude as my mother says paybacks a b#*&!”” but ive found what works best for me is ive taught her that no means no and usually use the word stop instead if she tantrums and pesists i just walk away and ignore her or point and laugh she soon gets the idea that tantys dont get her anywhere but when she is good she gets nice things … being 6 months the different approach is if they tantrum walk away but if u hear the cry change to a scared or upset one thats when to pick them up and cuddle them youll know the difference but if you do give the naughty corner the time they are there is according to their age eg 2yo 2 mins and dont put them in their bedrooms when they are naughty its meant to be a relaxing room that is safe just sit them next to you or on a chair but these are just suggestions id love to hear something else to try as well

well i got my parents to come down to look after bub so i could go into the city and do some erands etc, which is just so much easier without bub. WELL…………. how dare i go off on my own and leave him at home. i copped it big time tonight. as soon as he heard my voice he started and fully told me off. it was so naughty of him but really funny at the same time, i had a little giggle then got serious. not that explaining the situation to a 6 month old helps.

I`ve found each of my children so different to each other that I`ve had to adjust the style of parenting with each different one. My first was super `bossy` and still has the tendency to run the house if we don`t watch it! (She is 10 now!). She is a very strong personality type and almost always pushes her boundaries to see how far she can go. Other than that she is a real sweetiepie and her teachers often say she is the sweetest child they have ever taught!!
