Best product for large pores

I have large pores and lots of blackheads, and years ago I used to take better care of my skin, but since being a mum, i haven’t had much time.

Well I’m going shopping soon, and was wondering if anyone can recommend any products? I have seen some ‘pore’ products at Mecca that i might try, any other suggestions would be so helpful!

I`ve been using the L`Oreal Pore Minimizing Serum and that seems to work. It doesn`t have incredibly noticeably results, but after two weeks of use the pores start to get smaller. It`s better than they were before, but my more pores still look big.

Thank you Magickal for telling us about asprin mask – I will try that!

Have you tried an asprin mask? They help make pores appear smaller. Very easy to make, just crush a few tablets, and a little bit of water to make a paste. Apply it to your face. I leave mine on for about 15 minutes, skin looks radient and feels soft.

Pores size purely depends on genetics. You did not mention if you are having problem with your large pores, but you just need to keep it clean by washing your face 2x a day with mild cleanser such as cetafil….but excessive cleansing of your skin will tend to produce more oil. there is a laser treatment for this. look for a medical health spa that gives laser treatments for hair removal, spider veins etc. they can treat the area and make the pores smaller for good.

For an inexpensive product, I use T N Dickinsons Witch Hazel, which is about $5- 6. It cleans and tones your skin (you apply it with a cotton ball). I really find this helps minimise my pores and is great under make up too. You can buy it at PriceLine and Woolworths or Coles I think, too.

I`m not sure about blackheads, but for pore-minimizer I can recommend Biotherm Pore Reducer range, the difference was very, very obvious, showing results in about a week. The one I tried was the “”non-stop purifying moisturizer””. I`ve just started using the “”intensive pore-reducing concentrate”” but so far I think the moisturizer works better than the serum, so if money is an issue I would rather buy the moisturizer and not the serum. I haven`t tried the “”one-minute unclogging mask”” yet but have read good reviews about it.

Aisha a few people have recommended Joey New York pure pore minimiser? Haven`t tried it myself – but if you do a search in the forums you should find some reviews of it…
