Baby blackheads

Both my daughters (6 and 9) are already suffering from blackheards around their nose creases and chin.
I have tried a variety of gentle products on them without success.
I’m very reluctant to try anything stronger as I don’t want to damage their gentle skin.
We practice regular skin washing and I’m at a loss as to why at such a young age they’re suffering.

Any advice?

Agree completely…I remember soaking my hair in lemon juice as as kid trying to lighten it….I just ended up with brittle hair.

However I wouldn’t suggest trying the lemon juice option, especially on young skin, as I tried it once and it stung my skin something chronic, and turned me the shade of a beetroot. I do have sensitive skin though, but even if you don’t be very careful !!
Oh when reading some other information on blackheads today, it suggests that blackheads need to be extracted, and if they are stubborn and hard to extract then it helps to massage the area with a lavender essential oil (making sure it is never used directly on skin, always dilute with a carrier oil, I prefer jojoba or sweet almond oil)

Blackheads are such a pain! I’ve had them since I was young and it’s been difficult to get rid of them.
I’d suggest googling ‘natural blackhead removal’ or somthing like that to find natural solutions. Fruits and other food products are so beneficial for the skin and can do wonders when applied properly.

Same here, blackheads are such a pest, it hard to know what to suggest when it comes to kids, but I think you could possibly try a clay mask just on the blackhead area. I find they are very effective at drawing out all the gunk from my pores and I am sure it would be super gentle on their young skin as well 🙂

wow I never knew you could get them so young…I remember there was a girl at school (aged about 14) who had the most enormous blackheads on her nose, you could literally see them from a mile away. She came back after the holidays or something and they had all disappeared, and she looked 100 times better. I would have loved to know how she got rid of them, probably went to a beauty therapist and had them squeezed or something, and they haven’t been bad since.

I’ve had blackheads for about 6 years, since I was 10…. They just havent gone away for me, so I don’t know what to do to remove them!! I have them everywhere, chin, nose, cheeks and forehead. :'(
