Aveda-anyone use this?

I am still looking to find the “perfect” semi-natural or natural skin care product. I have a friend who uses aveda, she raves about it. Anyone here use aveda? What are your thoughts?

I`m in love with Aveda`s hair care range. I love their shampooes n conditioners and curly cream. I tried their skin care range and am not so impressed with that.

I was at a day spa a few weeks ago that uses Aveda products. The products felt devine (or was that because of the pampering?) Anyhow, I ended up buying quite a few products in their tourmeline range. I haven`t started using them yet, so sorry Tkm, can`t help you there, but am hoping they` re as good as they cost….. When I`m finished using them I`ll probably try the Pevonia range, as I just found out that the day spa across from my street use that range, and I have heard some good things about their products, might have to get some pampering done while I`m at it!

Music-i was looking at myer today at in essence and a rep from in essence was there, she was saying that in eesence make the oil garden brand.
Anyway she said that the oil garden brand are the “”cheaper”” version of in essence.
they sell oil garden at priceline in the city (sydney) but i am not sure about other stores.
I placed an order with ND on monday and they are yet to send it-NOT HAPPY!!

    I`m hijacking this thread since I can`t hijack a plane…. :p

P75, strange you mentioned Oil Garden, I was about to ask you whether they`re any good. They`re not as cheap as ND though. :p

if i can make a suggestion on the essential oils tkm.
buy the oil garden brand, most chemists have them. they are the same as all the others without the big mark up. ie: if you buy them at aveda you will likely pay way more for the same product. enjoy:)

    The shops await me!!
Thanks girls, you are all wonderful.

    thanks elmo and princess!
ANYWAY its time to make a decision on what i`ll be buying tomorrow….and i DO PROMISE to come back on here and let you know how i go since you`ve been so helpful in choosing my skincare!
So…..i will try aveda…i have heard such good things about them. I do have that 320 to spend, i can afford to maintain the regime, i do spend the majority of my cash on beauty products. i don`t go out and drink etc, i don`t spend my money on rubbish like that. I prefer to spoil myself when i can!
I just hope i can find some nice products there!
With the left over cash i am going to buy some essential oils!

I think that`s a pretty good price – I mean, when I think about what I spend on derm anyway! I`m personally trying to search for cheaper alternatives as I`ll be moving out of home in a few months so might need to budget a bit more!
    .
Like I said, I`ve only tried one product, but I have heard a lot of people rave about aveda. That`s awesome about your winnings – well done! Can you maintain buying the products though? Like Princess said in the other thread – pevonia have some lovely stuff too – they`re prob more exxy though – I`ve only tried the eznyme peel – which is really good.
    .
Since you`ve got $320 what you could do is have an aveda facial done – then you can try out the products and buy what suits?
