Anybody with frustrating eyelid crease?

I’m half Asian and I have reallyyyy frustrating eyelid creases! There is a small gap between my lash line and crease which means I have basically no room to play with in terms of eyeshadow and eyeliner. Sometimes I wake up with the creases folded weirdly and one eye looks smaller than the other o_O Anyone with this problem or some helpful suggestions? (:

    OMG I’ve been having the same problem lately! My right eyelid was smaller than the other for weeks then one day I woke up and it was fine again. But just last week it happened again! It’s really annoying. Looking closely at it, it appears there are two crease lines which aren’t quite joining, and therefore making the lid smaller. I keep running my fingernail across the crease hoping it would go back normal but it doesn’t work!

    This kind of look is what I was referring to earlier;

    Hi Sarah, I kinda have your problem occasionally, esp when I haven’t had a good night’s sleep. BTW, I’m Chinese and have shallow eyelid creases.

    When one of my lids has gone funny, I apply a little eyelash glue to where I want the crease line to be. Use the sharp end of a toothpick to ‘draw’ the crease, then press lightly on your lid to make sure it the skin gets stuck together. Wait for about 10 mins, then remove the glue. The crease should then fall where it should. If not, try leaving the glue on for a bit longer.

    I also find that keeping a light shade on the light then adding some colour above the crease line can look good but takes a bit of effort to get it just right.

    I also have really hooded eyes and so trying to do the ‘smokey eye’ look just kind of gets lost… in fact, trying any colours on my mobile lid is generally pointless.

    If you want to play around though, there are some really great tutorials on youtube – search for hooded or asian eyes makeup. Also keep in mind the idea of contouring and highlighting – dark colours make areas recede and appear smaller whilst light, bright colours bring areas forward and make them apear larger.

    I know this is a really late response but what about going light on the top lid so you don’t draw attention there then use a pretty or bright colour to line you bottom lash line?

    I have quite round eyes but very deep, slightly hooded eyes and sometimes my lid seems to dissapear in the crease so I really can’t do a cut crease look or anything like that because it vanishes =(

    I also don’t have much space between my lash line and my crease so I have had to learn to apply shadow on my crease and blend upwards. This has helped me achieve the look that I like on others.

    I have a bad fold and it means that it’s really hard for me to apply eyeshadow. Puppy dog eyes lol It’s so annoying! I find it creases less when I use a base.

    have you tried eyelid tape or try putting cream o your eyelid before you go to sleep? like the vaseline lotions 🙂

    Thanks for all the replies! I’ve had them really bad lately ): I’m on holidays right now so I’m not hugely fussed but it’s still annoying as it seems permanently folded wrong so when I apply eyeliner, one eye looks completely different and I look like I can’t apply eyeliner evenly!! ): whenever I see someone with eyelids that don’t really seem to have a definite fold I’m just like ughhh you don’t know how lucky you are!
