Serum

Hi all,

I’m looking for a new serum. I always used Clarins hydra quench bi phase serum but it was just getting too expensive (but I love it!)
I have tried to Olay regenerist micro sculpting serum, but am not a fan at all.
Elizabeth Arden ceramide capsules are lovely but again the price is too much for daily use.

I have sensitive skin with an oily t zone and am after anti ageing. All help & recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I’d love to hear how your going with the ordinary serums 2663Anne. Are you enjoying it ? Any change….

Ray_Jay it`s going well. All my fine lines have disappeared and my very deep frown line (between eyebrows) is now a fine line. It works really well with my other products, no balling etc which is another plus.

My skin is combination and it`s keeping my `dry` areas well hydrated though I do still have shine on my forehead but I think that is more to do with me being sent the wrong moisturiser and me not swapping it for the right one lol.

I`m so happy with “”the Ordinary”” that when I finish this moisturiser I`m going to try theirs for combination skin.

Overall my skin in certainly brighter and more even in tone, much less lines and no dry patches. I`ll definitely be sticking with it.

Have you tried any French skincare products? For more affordable products, I think the Bioderma Hydrabio serum is pretty good for sensitive skin types. I also love the Swisse Kakadu Plum brightening serum, it helped make my skin smooth and does not irritate my skin. (I have sensitive skin too and I usually gravitate towards more gentle skincare). Currently, The Ordinary is all the rave and really affordable to try out too!

Exiting Anne. What did you purchase.

I got the matrixyl 10% today was my first application, so far no ill effects yay

I recently purchased The Ordinary`s Matrixyl 10% + HA too, Anne. I had my eyes on `Buffet` as a better all rounder to save me some skincare steps, but it was sold out.

Still waiting for it to arrive in the mail though, purchased it along with their vitamin C suspension. Very exciting, can`t wait to try them 😀

I went to Kiehls and tried the one that they recommended, but i can’t remember the name though. It’s pretty light, and lasted 3 months, not sure if you are keen to try that brand

Yep, got my The Ordinary products from Adore Beauty, along with a new Cloud Nine hair straightener and paid for it using Afterpay, which really helps – no more waiting until you save up for things before being able to buy it. Woohoo! 😀

  • SkinCeuticals, highly potent scientifically backed. This is the most expensive product in my routine by my god this stuff works. Dermatologists and plastic surgeons use this stuff.
Depends what you’re trying to achieve with your serum really but for me it’s trying to avoid a facelift in 10yrs lol

Otherwise like duality said, the ordinary is great stuff or the niod range is good.

Also clear skin clinics make a brilliant serum. I love it, it’s one of the best but I trying new things .

    It’s called tighten serum.
    It’s got vitamin c, e , peptides and hylauronic acid. There’s also 25% argeline.
    It’s 45$$. Reasonable.
You can but it only online and they have a eBay store too.

Paula’s choice antioxidant serums are amazing. The one for oily skin is a light weight gel consistency and contains all the antioxidants you only need. There’s a good range and price is apps 40-60.
