Flora & Fauna

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to share some brand news that I received in my e-newsletter today.

Brand: Flora & Fauna is now 100% vegan free which I think is really exciting and I am looking forward to what which brands they use so we can keep a watch out for them.

Hoping BH takes notice and is able to get some of their products coming soon 🙂

Three brands F&F are adding are:

1) Passionate Skin Care is a small NSW brand and they make amazing vegan Skin Food and an anti ageing Skin Food serum. Their balms are a household essential, perfect for dry skin, cuticles, nappy rash, sunburn, eczema and more. Shop here.

2) Keeko Oil make beautiful oil to clean your teeth and to cleanse and whiten. It’s something you can do at night for five to ten minutes and it’s a good natural dental care routine. Available here in packs of 14x10ml sachets.

3) Biologika is a wonderful vegan brand that make affordable body care. We now stock their Shaving Gels which are great for men and women. Shop here.

Has anyone tried these 3 brands or Flora & Fauna?

Flora & Fauna has just announced that they have reduced the price of their sanitary products by ten per cent to reflect the government’s removal of the GST – reusable pads, organic tampons, menstrual cups etc:

Let’s hope that other retailers will follow their lead.

Has anyone sent a box back of empty containers to Flora & Fauna for their Teracycle program? How much did it cost you to post your box to them?

I have never had the desire to buy a beauty subscription box, although I was close to signing up to the Maslow ones. Anyway, I had the feeling to buy the Spring beauty box from Flora and Fauna, and I’m happy that I did. Here is what I received today:

Hanami Vegan Blush – All About Eve – gorgeous cream blush – $29.95.

Eye of Horus Bio Lash Lift Mascara – $38.

ECO. AROMA Calm & Destress Blend – orange, bitter orange, patchouli and sandalwood – 10ml for $16.

Grants Mild Mint with Aloe Vera Natural Toothpaste – $4.20.

    Green + Kind toothbrush – $5.95.

Botani Olive Skin Serum 5ml – I’ve already tried this and it’s lovely.

James St Hydrating Gel Cleanser sample pot.

Black Chicken essential oil perfume sachet sample in Epiphany – unusual scent.

TOTAL COST WAS $35.95. I have the impression that this may have been one of the better value boxes as it contained full size products. I’m not sure what was in previous boxes.

I haven’t found any products from Flora and Fauna that I would rave about, but I really like the Kosmea brand of products which they sell; especially their rosehip oil. I also like Riddells Creek Organic Toothpaste (in mint and lemon varieties), but it falls off my toothbrush very easily because it has a watery consistency.

Flora and Fauna sells a great natural lip/cheek balm which I would consider buying again called Ere Perez Clever Carrot Cheek and Lip Balm in Harmless. I was initially disappointed because this balm doesn’t have the cool undertone that I was hoping for (it looks more neutral/slightly warm on me), but I ended up really liking it. The balm is just as good as a chemical-based product.

I really like the Flora and Fauna website and I have always received prompt delivery from my orders with them. I have bought lots of deluxe samples from them. Due to them now only stocking vegan products, they seem to be introducing a few new brands which is always great for some variety. Here is a link to their website:
