chiropractor experiences

I am considering going to a chiropractor as part of a way to help my back.

Just like to hear some experiences that you ladies have had, and what to expect?

my partner and bub go to chiro , (now once a month, for wellness adjustments , it was more often in the biggining, results are faster that way) .

my other half suffered really bad back pain , they xray’d his back and saw that it was slightly twisted , and that of course would get worse over time , so they manipulate the spine often and help correct the issue , and prevent it going further .

as for my son, they cured him of colic (cure , well , almost gave us another child lol it was so good ) , sublaxations are common in mothers and babies after birth (they occur during the birthing process) ..
for children chiro’s can help a whole range of things you wouldnt even contemplate .

i 100% think every one should go see a chiro , i saw the improvements in my two that have convinced me it works.

my mum used to see one and he didnt really help at all (maybe he was a bad one) so try and research up on the person u might want to see.

yoga helps out everything so maybe try that like Yvette rose said , it relaxes you too

Hey hun, I saw a chiropractor many years ago when I had a motorbike accident. He was really good. However, I prefer to see a osteopath. I saw an osteopath for the first time 3 weeks ago and gosh it was good.
My neck and back have been playing up- from all that studying. The osteopath used a range of massage, chiropractic techniques and manipulation to ease the tension.
I had to go to a follow up as well. I really recommend seeing an osteopath and i have been doing swimming and yoga to help it as recommended by the osteopath

    Hope this helps

I dont agree with babies and children going to the chiro though to be honest… I am thinking it cant be good for them?

And these “adjustments” not sure how that is supposed to help you.. wont it just go back into place after

Thanks Ladies. I’ve read mixed reviews, some say its good and some say its bad.
I also am not sure too because I know from what Ive heard, they say that you have this and this wrong with your back, and they can fix it.. .so Im wary.
I am scared too Mel. But I am thinking I might check it out and see how I go…. Not sure.
Im more worried about doing long term damage to my body more than anything… thats my main concern.. but on the otherhand if it improves your body then…

I have actually gotten a referal from my doctor to see a chiro, I had been going to physio for ages and that was making the problem flare up even more, so the doctor and the phisio recommended the chiro. To tell you the truth that was ages ago but I have never been game to go and do it, the thought scares me, LOL.

Personally i’m not keen on the idea of them, i’ve had a back problem for about 2years now & was told by physio’s, drs etc not to see a chiro. I also have a relo who severely injured their back and also was told not see a chiro. On the flipside i have another relo who’s entire family regulary vists one & a cousin who brought their few week old baby to see their family chiro for an alignment too. Those i know who see a chiro don’t have any major back problems though and I think its more of a mental satisfaction that they get from it. Gentle exercise as prescribed by a physio or gp can help with back problems (eg swisse ball, breathing etc) thats the only thing thats worked for me as it slowly helps re-strengthen the muscles which in turn helps support the back. Guess it wouldn’t hurt to see a chiro as a one off visit to see if you feel it may help you. It’s really down to personal prefernce i feel with this one. I can’t say they are good or bad! Hope someone else can give you more feedback to help you make an informed choice, goodluck ray_jay 🙂
