I could definitely feel the quality of the Elizabeth Arden Gold Capsule Serum from the first time I used it. The little gold capsules make it feel really luxurious and I liked that each one gives you a set amount of product to use. The serum has a really smooth, silky texture and spreads easily over the skin. One capsule was more than enough for my face, and it left my skin feeling very soft and moisturised afterwards. For me personally though, I did find it a little too oily. I tend to prefer serums that are a bit lighter and soak into the skin quite quickly, whereas this one left more of a noticeable layer behind. It wasn’t uncomfortable, but I could still feel it sitting on my skin for a while after applying it. I think this would probably suit someone with dry or dehydrated skin much better than it suited me. It definitely feels very nourishing, and I can imagine it being really nice in winter or when your skin needs a bit of extra moisture. I found I preferred using it at night rather than during the day, especially because of the richer texture. I probably wouldn’t reach for it under makeup because I like my daytime skincare to feel a little lighter, but as a night-time serum it worked better for me. One thing I did really like was how soft my skin felt afterwards. Even though the formula was a little too rich for my skin type, it still made my skin feel smooth and conditioned. The capsule packaging is also a nice touch and makes the product feel a bit more special than a normal serum bottle. I didn’t have any irritation or sensitivity from using it, which was a plus. My main issue was really just the oily finish. I think if you already enjoy facial oils or richer skincare products, you would probably like the texture a lot more than I did. Overall, I think this feels like a high-quality serum and I can see why people like it. The texture is silky, the packaging feels luxurious, and it does leave the skin feeling very soft and nourished. It just wasn’t the best match for my skin because I prefer lighter serums that absorb more quickly. I would still recommend it to someone with dry, dehydrated or mature skin, or anyone who likes richer skincare. It wasn’t quite right for me personally, but I can still appreciate the quality and how moisturising it feels.

I’ve been really impressed with this moisturiser and it has quickly become one of the creams I reach for most often. One of the first things I noticed was the scent. I find that applying it while my skin is still slightly damp helps it feel even more hydrating. It seems to really lock in moisture rather than just sitting on top of the skin. My skin feels noticeably softer afterwards, and the moisturised feeling lasts for quite a while rather than disappearing shortly after application. I also really like using this after I have been outside in the sun. My skin can sometimes feel warm, dry or a little uncomfortable after spending time outdoors, and this moisturiser feels very soothing when I apply it afterwards. The texture feels comforting on the skin and helps it feel calm and hydrated again. I wouldn’t use it as a replacement for sunscreen or proper after-sun care when needed, but as a moisturiser afterwards, I find it really nice and soothing. Another thing I appreciate is that a little bit goes a long way. I don’t feel like I need to use a huge amount to cover an area properly, which makes the product feel like good value. It spreads easily and doesn’t take much effort to massage into the skin. I think this would be a great moisturiser for anyone who wants something that feels deeply hydrating without being overly thick or greasy. It gives my skin that comfortable, moisturised feeling I look for, while still being pleasant enough to use every day. The combination of the beautiful smell, soothing feel and non-sticky finish makes it really enjoyable to use. Overall, I would definitely say this has become one of my go-to creams. I love using it after showers and after being out in the sun, and I always notice how soft and hydrated my skin feels afterwards. It manages to feel nourishing and moisturising without leaving me feeling oily or uncomfortable, which is exactly what I want from a body moisturiser. I would happily continue using it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a soothing, everyday cream that leaves the skin feeling soft, comfortable and well moisturised.
