I'm an avid user of makeup cotton pad. Been using since I started my skincare routine back when I was in my teen. Always use it with my toner, everyday, every night, can't do without. So it's suffice to say I've used tons of these little puff in the past.
Since I moved from HK to Australia I had been having a hard time finding the right cotton pads until I finally settled with this one.
I have very delicate skin... Prone to physical irritation . So I need my cotton pad to be ultra soft, with no cotton fiber falling off and no pilling on the surface maintaining the softness staying intact even after rubbing against skin. Used to use some pretty expensive Japanese brands back when I was in HK. Since I don't have access to most Japanese stuff here, I tried lots of brands available in Australia. NONE made me happy.
Most are unbearably harsh & rough for my skin. Johnson & Johnson, MUJI, lilybell, Unicharm silcot 1/2, and some cosmetic accessories brand from priceline sephora and etc. And some pills so badly without lots of cotton fiber falling off sticking to my face, such as MUJI (so bad). Most preforms as badly as I would like to throw them in the trash bin only after one use (blame my picky skin) . They all end up with my manicure set to remove nail polish. And lilybell is the only one that comes close to swisspers organic, but I still prefer Swisspers.
All in all Swisspers Organics is about the only one that I find good enough to be used daily without complaints.
Soft enough (though my super delicate skin could certainly enjoy more luxurious softness) , doesn't shed cotton fibers, hardly pill and becomes too rough after rubbing against skin repetitively, stays intact after use. The package has a string-pull opening, very handy and easy to carry in trips.
And it's cheap, very affordable.
Cherry on top: it's organic and even the package is biodegradable, more environmentally ethical, I feel green-er for using this.
And one more thing to notice, the swisspers organic cotton pads is made in Netherlands with biodegradable package whereas the ordinary Swisspers cotton pads are made in China with a regular plastic package. The regular one is much worse in quality imo, rough and the rim digs into my face.
