Created to sooth and protect, day and night use, this Skin Recovery Cream is packaged in a tube, but one like no other with 'exclusive protection packaging'. The hole the cream comes out of has a sorta funnel so it only comes out like when you do the outside boarders of an iced cookie, so there's no mess, controlled precision - you've got to try it yourself. Look up ""D.E.F.I" cap system". The cream itself has no scent, is thick and absorbs quickly and well, no greasy feeling that you might get with other thicker creams. I have very sensitive combo skin with dry cheeks and this is the dream. Normally I use an oil instead of moisturizer as they're never moisturizing enough but this might be the one. I used it as a 3 step: extremely gentle cleansing lotion (night only for me), the water spray that I already had (Avène Thermal Spring Water) and then this cream. Yes it does last all day (should note that I don't go outside). Halfway through the trial we had some zits and used acne solutions, smells bad and was very drying. But my skin was all lovely again using this Tolerance Control Soothing Skin Recovery Cream. Been using acne solutions decreasinly and this cream really helps.

Extremely Gentle Cleanser Fragarence free. A tall pretty bottle, pearly shimmer pressy button opening this cleaning lotion is beautiful and doesn't leave you feeling sticky or greasy. I have very sensitive skin that even a rosewater mist can cause my skin to burn and sting, so this indeed was very soothing and calm. My new favourite evening cleanser that doesn't sting or give me that tight feeling. It claims to be both a cleanser and make up remover for face and eyes which we tested, it does take off what's left of my lipstick at the end of the day. But we did also test taking it off after 2hrs. It does move eye liner and lipstick with a bit of elbow grease, so I'd avoid using this to remove eye liner. It took eye liner clean off but not the lipstick (after 2hrs) but around 75%. While made for us twice a day I feel weird about not washing my face with water in the morning so only used it at night after the first week, where I used it twice a day. With the no rinse style cleansing lotion it reminds me of another famous french brand, though this would be a fraction of the price. It made by skin feel clean but heavy without washing my face. Great for soothing dry sensitive skin. Though if you're combo oily sensitive or prone to acne I'd use it still but not daily.

Upon delivery of the Remington Proluxe Hair Dryer I thought the product wasn't included in the box - it was that light! Without doubt this is the lightest hair dryer I've ever used. And it comes with two styling tools. Black with rose gold trimmings it looks quite nice and of quality, my first Remington product. It feels nice and light in my hand, after a wrist injury something light but strong is exactly what I'm after. Would recommend this for the elderly too. Promising salon-level results, though not made for the salon (Not intended or designed for commercial use.) I assume that refers to repeated continuous uses. It comes with a styling concentrator (think reverse vacuum end) perfect for styling, and a huge fascinating looking diffuser which I tried a couple times but didn't end up using. My hair type is thin and straight, and so the Conditioning Ionic Technology and Ultimately Ceramic with Tourmaline which helps reduce frizz and maximizes shine didn't really apply to me. Cutting time down is one of the benefits, though this would apply to thicker haired girls, as my thin hair dries pretty quickly especially with the heat. Something I was excited about was all the switches of which there are 6 switch combinations (3 heat and 2 speed) as well as the cool shot. My last hair dryer had two speeds and 2 heats, but this is perfect for customization. It also comes with 5yrs warranty. Light and powerful at 2400 watts, this one's a winner.

We love all things coconut so were quite excited to be trialing 'Reef's Coconut Sunscreen SPF 50 Dry Touch Lotion' it's broad spectrum and covers both uva and uvb like most sunscreens on the market at the moment. It comes in a typical tube with a flip lid, which can be a challenge to open when you're slippery. Interesting on the back it says to avoid contact with fabric, eek I'm in trouble. Wore this sunscreen on my hands/wrist while wearing a black shirt, and it was fine though *phew*. I wore this only on my body (arms/hands) as I'm got sensitive skin on my face. It comes out seemingly thick but is more of a mid-weight lotion, rubbing in easily and doesn't pill/rub off. Though I'm curious to see if it does it when applied on top of a moisturizer. Definitely smells like coconut, but lighter and mixed with something. It has a warm kinda smell, and doesn't feel eeky at the end of the day like some other sunscreens.

I would say out of all the body parts feet are often the most neglected, even though we're constantly using them. When it comes to treating feet there's feet creams, and then there are these intensive gel/creams with graphic pictures on the front, with urea and they're magic. DU’IT Foot & Heel Balm Plus is one of these things. Claiming to be intensive as it really is a treatment. Containing 25% UREA. It’s clinically and dermatologically tested to effectively rehydrate, soften and protect feet. Promising visual results within five days, I personally saw results on day two. Could have sworn the box said to apply 3-4 times a day, 2-3 on the tube. We went with twice a day, which was most realistic - in the morning before work, and before bed. During the day I wear stockings, and it didn't bleach them or destroy them so that was good. Tube recommends wearing socks especially over heels at night. My heel aren't cracked, but they are very dry, and I definitely saw results, though think I really do need to do rounds of this softening balm and foot cream to maintain soft nice looking heels (and around my big toe area). But using this treatment gel consistency was quite nice, balmy scented though not noticeable throughout the day.

I'm not sure why but the color on the website is way more tinted than the product itself irl, even with six layers this balm is a balm, while on the site the color shown is definitely not this one, with full coverage. Being a balm it's a tinted moisturizer for your lips, and emphasis colour while providing a sheer coverage and a bit of shine. we picked this one in 04 berry which is a slightly lighter version of Clinque's Roomiest Rose, I can't say for sure if it's a dupe of their best selling lip crayon, but it certainly comes close (on my skin at least). There's a light scent, but I can't tell what it is. The product also says it 'Covers redness and pigmentation' for me it didn't work on the pigment as I require heavy duty to cover up brown spots. It blends very well though I tend to reapply every few hours. With a few oils and shea butter it does feel nice on the lips, didn't dry my lips or slip off easily. Apply after coffee though and eating. I do like the sleek gold packaging, and the words don't rub off in my bag.

Housed in a slim bodied sleek white heavy weighted cylinder with gold text this lip primer looks quite nice in the bathroom, the question is if it can survive been in a bag and not be covered in grim. Alas it didn't leave the bathroom, so shaltn't know. Lightly scented it smells sweet, a light vanilla? This is the first lip primer that I've tried and so was quite excited to do so, I paired it with the Nude by Nature Satin Liquid Lipstick. It promises to condition, and create a smooth even base for lip colour, by filling in the natural lines. By having silicon as the top ingredient, and overall says it'll provide a smoother looking finish and help prevent feathering and promote longer wear. With a base of sweet almond oil and shea butter being within the top few ingredients it was quite moisturizing (though I always use a thick lanolin balm at night) and didn't dry my lips, though exfoliation the evening before is essential for the best results. For the testing I used the primer in the morning under the liquid lipstick, but not at work when I reapplied the lipstick. With the primer I found a smoother finish and my lips were less dry (towards the end of the week I reapplied the primer whenever I did the lipstick too). Did it last longer, the lip stick? Hmm... I'm not too sure, but after morning tea it was definitely still there but a bit faded, and on the coffee cup. I always reapply with lunch. Not sure why, most likely the weather (winter) but the product is a bit lumpy on the stick, like shea butter, and needs to warm up a little to blend well. It'll be different/easier to apply in warmer climates.

This lovely set smells like peppermint candy canes! Perfect for Christmas. It comes with a shower gel (60ml), body scrub (50ml), body butter (50ml) and hand cream (30ml) inside a hemp bag. The shower gel is a typical bottle for that size, a little hard to open in the shower. We really need a pump that you can use on the mini bottles. Smells delightful and foams up like most shower gels, with the shower puff. I'm iffy on shower gels as sometimes they make my skin red and itchy but I was glad to say TBS shower gels don't make my skin react that way, yay! Next up we tried the body scrub, in a tub it's a sugar base and in a opaque gel. As I have sensitive skin I only used this on my feet, and it felt lovely, making my skin all soft and ready for the lotion. With these two I used in the shower the scent was there at the time of use though didn't linger when I dried off. As in the name the body butter melted just like butter and smells so good! Pretty fast absorbing for a lotion, I love the size of the pot (I like to experiment, so try many different products and brands). The scent is still there after 2hrs, then fades to a light candy scent. To keep the scent always around there's the hand cream, a medium weight lotion that absorbs well. It's in a tube that's sturdy and won't be punctured in my handbag.

We do love Maybelline for their eye shadow palette, offering a range of colours (usually 8) in a travel-friendly set, night and day in one case. Though the 'Total Temptation Shadow + Highlight Palette' sees the addition of shadows and highlighters with the new-ish contouring and strobing trends, with ' 8 pigmented eye shadows and 2 illuminating highlighters.' - All of which can be used as eye shadow. When I first saw the picture I thought the ridges/waves were indicative of two different shades, but turns out it's just a texture thing, each box is one color. On the back of the case there's two different suggestions for looks you can create. Day with corals, gold and warm earthy tones, and for the night cool shades of dusty pink/purples, lilac and black. Some of the colours have a matte finish while others (black and coral) have a hint of sparkle, glitter in the lilac and full shimmer on the two larger bars for highlighting, and gold. With my asian eyelids there seems to be less space to play with (if that makes sense XD) and so I tend to stick with just a colour or two. If I'm wearing eyeliner (with a flick) then I'll just wear one colour for the eye shadow, which is perfect to make black eyeliner less harsh with shimmer. There sadly isn't enough space for all four shadows, so I didn't use the set as intended. I found the colors quite pigmented and use about three dips per eye, it didn't budge once applied though did loss some colour over the course of a 9hr day as expected. The colors overall for me were quite light so I only used it for daytime use (perfect for work!). Unlike some sets this one didn't come with a brush, so slightly less convenient if you're not super into makeup and don't have your own set on hand or in your make-up bag.

A two in one brow definer pen and spoolie in one, one on each end with a cap to protect the spoolie. My go to brow kit includes a powder, and in the past I have tried pencils which I found too harsh. Built like a mechanical pencil, it's easy to use and comes in three shades of brown and blonde. This tip is softer and shaped uniquely, with a kinda teardrop tip (says the packaging) the tip of the tear drop is narrower, great for defining the shape of the brows. Then you turn it on the side to lightly fill in the outline, using feather like strokes. Blend with the spoolie. We used the 314 deep brown which was just right (I have black hair - but don't use black powder/brow products as it's too intense as a teacher), if you want it darker just use a heavier hand. Staying power was great, it didn't budge at all. As I already use an eye make-up remover for the eye area, I used that to remove it. Never tested to see if you could remove it with just water.
