I received this product to trial from beautyheaven and I was excited to do so because I've had great experiences with AHAs in the past. I was hesitant to use this daily though, as I've always only used AHAs twice a week at most, but I'm pleased to say this product was gentle enough to use every day. There was a typical tingling sensation you expect from an AHA, but it was mild and I didn't have any reactions to it. This is probably because the HA was doing its job in keeping my skin hydrated. I really enjoy the botanical fragrance - it really feels high-end and spa-like to use products with such a beautiful natural luxurious smell. I think with continued use this could do what it claims in resurfacing skin - after 2 weeks of use I was already starting to notice a much smoother brighter complexion.

I received this lip shimmer from beautyheaven to trial and I was happy to do so as I have had good experiences with burt's bees products in the past. I was a little hesitant about the "shimmer" part because I think that can sometimes look like a dated trend, but I was pleased to see it wasn't actually that shimmery - instead it leaves a soft glow behind. The product isn't very pigmented so I'd treat this more like a glowy balm than a lipstick. It's good as an every day stand alone lip product, but I so sometimes wear it as base under my lipstick; I don't know how it would fare over lipstick as a gloss as I tend to wear much more liquid consistencies to achieve that look. It leaves a tingly sensation on the lips but I don't think its plumping. I like that its a slim product - feels a bit more grown up and luxurious than a normal chapstick. Its pretty moisturising but I do find that I need to reapply it every couple of hours.

I received this eye cream from beautyheaven to trial and I was excited to give it a go because I'm on a constant search for the perfect eye product. Unfortunately, this is not the answer. It's not a bad product but for $89 I was expecting it to deliver better on its claims to "instantly target fine lines, puffiness and dark circles". I don't think anyone expects those problems to disappear instantly, but after 2 weeks of use, I still don't see a significant improvement which is a bit disappointing. Still not a bad eye cream though - it does have its pluses: unique packaging makes it hygienic to apply, convenient for travel, and it dispenses the right amount of product so you don't end up wasting any. It also locks so you can make sure you don't accidentally squeeze any product out in your bag or luggage. I also do like the texture and consistency of the cream - its thick and feels super hydrating, and melts right into the delicate skin under the eyes. Overall I'm glad I tried it and I'm happy to keep using it, but I probably won't repurchase once its finished.

I received the LimiBalance facial oil from beautyheaven to trial and my overall impressions were that this is quite the impressive oil. I definitely think it helped to keep me hydrated which was a pleasant surprise given how lightweight it felt whilst applying to my face. I also think it helped to brighten and wake up my complexion so I like to use it in the morning in particular. Wears well under make up as well. Not sure if it did anything for wrinkles and fine lines, but maybe with longer use it might. The dropper design of the bottle made it quite easy to dispense the correct amount which I usually have trouble with so that was nice - at $110 a pop you don't want to be wasting a drop. Having said that, a little bit of product goes a long way so I do believe this bottle will last a while. Overall a great product that I'm more than happy to keep using now that the trail is over. Bonus: its an Aussie product so its also nice to know you're supporting local by purchasing this product.

My first thoughts on the Nivea black and white max protection deodorant were that the packaging was unique. It is a roll-on application in a glass bottle that sits upside down with the roller ball on the bottom, which hopefully means less wastage when its almost finished. I've been using this religiously for about 2 weeks and I am a fan. It has a lovely fresh powdery clean smell, but isn't overpowering which I appreciate - nothing worse than getting whiffs of your deodorant throughout the day. I usually use a deodorant stick because I hate that lingering wet feeling that you usually get with roll ons, but this Nivea deodorant applies as a thin creamy layer and only takes a moment to dry. It keeps me feeling dry and fresh throughout the day. It is invisible on black or dark clothing which is obviously a must for any deodorant, and didn't irritate my skin.

I received the Eylure Dybrow tint kit from beautyheaven to trial and review. I've tinted my eyebrows before but didn't keep the routine up because, with dark eyebrows to start with, I found that these kinds of products don't really provide enough of a noticeable change. However, I do have sparse brows and the microblading I had done a few years ago has started to wear off, so I was keen to see if this worked. I followed the instructions, . The tint was pretty easy to apply and the instructions were easy to follow. I left the product on for 7 minutes before removing it. The results were good. Obviously way more natural looking than drawing them in, and I love that I look somewhat put together even when I haven't put any make up on. Would I do this instead of getting microblading again? Probably not because of having to re-do it every month or so, but its a great alternative if you're not into microblading.

I received this milky toner to trial for Beary Heaven a few weeks ago and have been using it every day ever since. I haven't previously been a big fan of Nivea, usually preferring products that aren't as gimmicky. So I was pleasantly surprised to find that I quite enjoyed using this "tonic". The fragrance is nice and mild and not overpowering, and the product has a cooling and soothing affect as it's being applied. I've been using this toner after my cleanser and before the rest of my products - kind of like a skin prep to ensure my skin is as clean as possible so it can absorb all the serums and oils and moisturisers I use as part of my skincare routine. This toner is really effective at removing the last traces of make up and dirt that (to my horror) my regular cleanser apparently doesn't!

I received the Boost Lab Hyaluronic Acid Hydro Boost Serum from Beautyheaven to review. I've never used a dedicated Hyaluronic Acid product before (its only ever been one of many ingredients in the rest of my skincare products) so I was quite excited to try this. I'm glad to report it didn't disappoint! It definitely boosted the moisture content in my skin and the result was a more hydrated and bright complexion. It was perfect timing when I received it too - I had a slight sunburn at the time and the Boost Lab HA serum was so soothing on my poor skin. I applied it diligently every day and my skin just drank it up! This product is now firmly embedded in my skincare routine, morning and night. Its one of the first products I apply to lock in my skin's natural moisture, before continuing on with the rest of my products.

I received the Boost Lab Retinol Night Renewal Serum from Beautyheaven to review. I am a loyal user and a great fan of The Ordinary's Retinol serum, which has a tonne of great reviews, but Boost Lab's Retinol was relatively new (at least to me) and with the retinol ingredient having a reputation for potentially being harsh on the skin, I was a little nervous about switching brands. Turns out I had no reason to be scared. Boost Lab's Retinol didn't cause any adverse reactions on my skin at all and delivered on its promise to provide a radiant and fresh appearance, with renew skin plumpness, elasticity and hydration. As for its anti-aging benefits, I haven't noticed a difference but I hope with prolonged use it will deliver on this as well. How does it compare to TO? It is very similar as far as fragrance, consistency and the way it absorbs into your skin, however I will say the bright appearance of my complexion and the hydrated feeling of my skin the next day was slightly better than what I experience with TO. Price wise, TO is more than half the price of Boost Lab, and gives you the option to choose a 1%, 0.5%, or 0.2% dilution depending on how sensitive your skin may be. So there are pros and cons for both products, but personally I will probably continue to reach for Boost Lab given the positive results I've had.

This is a great little kit for personal grooming, and couldn't have arrived at a better time after 4 months in lock down and neglecting my regular self care routine. The kit comes with 3 trimmers, an eyebrow comb, a bikini comb, a cleaning brush, a waterproof draw string pouch, and an AA battery which I always appreciate when buying new gadgets. In this Marie Kondo age, who doesn't love a multi-purpose tool that packs away neatly in the bathroom cupboard? I don't normally use a razor anywhere near my face, usually preferring to get threaded, but the flat shape of the facial trimmer seemed pretty low risk so I gave it a try. Within literally a few seconds, the fine facial hair around my top lip that I haven't had a chance to tend to with threading salons being shut down for the last few months was gone! It was quick and painless, leaving no irritation or redness. I was highly impressed and am converted - I will for sure be using this trimmer instead of spending money getting threaded from now on. For the bikini, I like to trim rather than do a full shave, and this was perfect for that. Easy to use and no irritation. I'm not game enough to try the eyebrow trimmer as I feel the shape may make it challenging to handle, but if the facial and bikini trimmer are anything to go by, the eyebrow trimmer should work fine. I'll muster up the courage to try it soon.
