We review: Bioelements Core Facial

Bioelements use highly individualised formulas to treat complexion concerns. Beautyheaven’s Olivia road-tested the Core Facial, so did she see a dramatic difference in the appearance of her skin?

What: Bioelements Core Facial

Where: Meriton World Towers, NSW

Treatment time: 60 minutes

Spend: from $90

Look, I won’t fib, us beauty brains have it pretty sugary sweet – we get to trial a facial here, a state-of-the-art pedi there, (all in the name of research obviously), but this Bioelementsfacial was something else.

I was lucky enough to have Jai Harvey-Yin, Director of Absolute Spa and Jeff Losito, Bioelements’ International Training Director at my disposal and we indulged in a quick chat about my skin’s behaviour, tone and type, all while being treated to a gorgeous hand and arm scrub. I mentioned my skin’s uncanny ability to break out without so much as a whisper of warning and wondered quietly if Bioelements could be my skin saviour?

After my skin bio was filled out, we headed straight to the facial table and I was told my only job was to relax. I could deal with that.

My usually stubborn make-up glided off with ease as Jeff gently massaged my peepers and cheeks with Bioelements Makeup Dissolver – oil-free and containing anti-inflammatory extracts to avoid eye irritation, it’s an absolute MUST for my sensitive eyes. The Bioelements Core Facial allows the therapist to customise the treatment to your individual skin needs. My skin was treated to a powerful, deep pore cleansing with Bioelements Decongestant Cleanser, which foamed beautifully and made my skin feel oh-so invigorated thanks to its antiseptic plant extracts.

Next up came a slick of the fantastically hydrating Bioelements Equalizertoner, which left my skin feeling instantly cooled and soothed.

My absolute favourite part of the treatment was the Bioelements Trissage massage which left me truly in a state of zen. The fab thing about this product is that it converts from cream to oil to lotion during the massage and is left on the skin to continue benefiting it long after the treatment is over.

Now, I don’t have a massive problem with dry skin, on the contrary, I can be rather combination at times, but I had no idea how thirsty my skin actually was. But Bioelements Gel Therapy was just the solution. After being applied to the contours of my face my skin felt fresh and ultra-hydrated.

We finished the amazing treatment with a slick of Bioelements Sun Diffusing Protector – a light moisturiser that blocks out 95 per cent of the sun’s rays without feeling or smelling like a sunscreen.

At the end of the treatment, my skin felt brand new.. I didn’t need a hint of powder or illuminiser, my skin was really radiant and clean, without that tight feeling that some products leave. I received so many compliments about the brightness and clarity of my skin,  that I simply can’t wait to make this my new monthly facial!
