Why we love it…
Using products from the divine, naturally-inspired Pevonia Botanica bodycare line, this treatment is a holistic head-to-toe experience that polishes the skin as it detoxifies and reinvigorates the body and mind.
I’m a bit of a sucker for a scrub, so I loved that this treatment began with an exfoliating sea salt. Enriched with ylang ylang, sweet-smelling tangerine and calming lavender, the scrub was massaged over my entire body, leaving me feeling super smooth and giving me a radiant glow.
After the sea salt was rinsed off with warm water, I was enveloped in warm micronised seaweed before being cocooned in cellophane and cosy towels (the idea being that the warmth from my body would help my skin to fully absorb the minerals from the seaweed). As I let the stress and toxins just melt away, my therapist performed a soothing scalp massage with a warm blend of essential oils. Total relaxation was unavoidable.
Finally, I was unwrapped and cleansed with warm jets from the Vichy shower overhead. The result: a thoroughly cleansed, buffed and beautifully nourished body.
Body treatments aren’t the sort of thing I have regularly (unlike facials or manicures), so when I do indulge, I want it to feel extra special. This was just the ticket. Plus, two days after having the treatment, my skin still looked polished and hydrated. Now I guess it’s up to me to maintain it…
