Taste of Thailand

Taste of Thailand

Despite only recently returning from a rather long-term holiday, lately I’ve been feeling like I could really do with a few weeks at a beachside resort.

Unfortunately, I’m not Kate Moss so can’t just jet off to a tropical paradise whenever it takes my fancy, but being a beauty editor does make it somewhat easier to indulge in little luxuries of the more local kind.

Take last week for example. Over-worked, exhausted, and pretty highly-strung, I headed to Sydney’s new Keerati Spa to trial one of their signature Thai massage treatments.

From the minute I arrived I knew I was in for an hour of pure bliss. The warm, friendly welcome (fragrant lemongrass tea followed by a Thai herbal foot bath) induced instant calm, and afterwards the expert hands of my therapist kneaded my knots into submission with essential oils and a blend of Thai-inspired and deep tissue massage techniques.

After my treatment I was welcomed back to reality with another refreshing cup of tea and took my time perusing the prettily packaged products that lined the front store. Reluctant to leave my tranquil Thai ‘escape’, I made a few purchases and vowed to return for a little taste of luxury the very next time I needed a break.
