*UPDATE: Katy’s new haircut did turn to be an April fools joke, as was speculated!
Last December, Katy Perry blew us away with her jazzy purple hair, but now the singer’s gone one better and cut it all off!
Joining our ever-growing list of celeb hair transformations, the 30-year-old revealed the new look with an Instagram snap, captioned: “asked for the Kris Jenner”.
*Cue double take*
Yep, the actress’ hair inspiration is a tad unexpected. But she has been seen hanging out with the Kardashian empress quite a bit in recent weeks, so I guess it makes sense.
And while I’m unsure whether I’d look to Kris for my own beauty inspo, I’m definitely a fan of Katy’s tousled, choppy ‘do…
Of course, we’ve grown used to celebs lopping off their locks of late, but you have to admit Katy’s new look is pretty striking. I’m also coveting her bold brows and impossibly long lashes.
Interestingly, the snap was posted on April 1, aka April Fools Day, so there’s some speculation it was a fake. Obviously, we’re crossing our fingers and toes that it isn’t!
But if it turns out Katy is playing a game of tress trickery, her 590k+ Insta likes will make her consider it for real.
