Treatment time: 1 hour 30 minutes

The experience

The treatment started with a personalised consultation with my therapist, Anita. It revealed that my skin issues were imbalanced pH levels, a few blemishes and some minor scars, all of which were caused by my very ‘jumbled’ skincare routine – I use a different cleanser to my toner, and moisturiser to exfoliator, which Anita explained was the reason my skin was so unpredictable. Oopsie. I was assured that by adopting a more streamlined skincare regime, my skin would become more stable and less prone to breakouts.

My treatment began with a deep, double cleanse to remove make-up and soften the skin, firstly using the gorgeousCombination Skin Cleanserand then Phyto-Gel Foaming Cleanser, a velvety gel that was instantly calming. As I relaxed, enveloped on the bed – complete with beautifully soft blankets and a hot rock for my lower back – the Enzyme Powder Mask was gently worked into my skin to instantly smooth and rid me of dead skin cells. The gentle exfoliation was combined with the use of a brush machine (that feels more like a smooth stone) and I could really feel the product working, it was so invigorating.

Next, Anita explained that the LED light (Rejuvalight) she would use on my skin would help to even out skin tone and help to eliminate acne scarring – a big concern of mine. The light was smooth, a little cold, and felt gorgeous as it was rolled around my face; my skin felt instantly smoother and calmer. I have redness on my cheeks just under the eye area that Rejuvalight would help to address – it certainly did just that, the day after it was significantly reduced.

Next, Soothing Propolis Concentrate was applied, it’s a light textured gel with healing properties and it smelt divine! It was so super-silky and moisturising, I loved it! It was applied all over my face and then a little metal roller was used over the top to ensure deep infusion of the product. The roller was very cold, which I found completely calming on my pink cheeks and also a little tingly which was a different sensation, but definitely not an unpleasant one.

After the serum, the Plantomer Mask was applied. This was by far my favourite product as it’s so thick and rich in seaweed extracts. A thick coating was applied over a thin layer of gauze (which ensured it peeled off with ease after 15 minutes of pure bliss!). My skin was left feeling very cool, calm and collected – it felt nice and plump!

The treatment finished with the beautifully rich Balancing Combination Skin Cream (UV protection) and I left the salon feeling revived and rested with beautiful skin to boot. I was told that in two days time I would see the even bigger and better results and I wasn’t disappointed – now where’s my diary so I can book my next one?
