Thermal Spring Water

I started taking Isotretinoin when I was 11. Yep. I was at my "last resort" step very young (and school was great for me and I totally didn't get bullied relentlessly, thanks for asking /s). I distinctly remember being at a dermatologist doing extractions at that age or possibly at 12, and seeing Avene posters on the wall. The derm recommended a few products for me to my mum, and she was like "so it's water in a can? Maybe we will stick with the other stuff" I think I was at the tennis at some point during my teens (Australian Open possibly? Can't remember the year) and because we had some corporate box we got gift bags. Again, Avene with the tiny spray bottle of water. "It's water in a can" I thought. And never used it. Well I'm almost 31, and after going through IVF I did a number on my skin. I was so totally convinced I was going to be pregnant soon so stopped topical tret and switched to 20% azelaic acid. That plus hormones going wild plus me stress eating food that's probably best described as "food-like substance, possible to eat but ideally - just don't" AND wearing makeup to work again had left my skin very angry and pimply and red and oily and basically anything you could possibly not want was on my face right now. And I didn't get pregnant either. I was in chemist warehouse at the registers getting my meds that keep the last threads of my sanity reasonably intact and saw this on a shelf. "2 for $19". "It's water in a can," I tell myself, "but let's be real I spent 12K on something that doesn't exist so what's the harm in spending $19 on 600ml of fancy spray water?". I get it home and I use it a few times a day for a week. If this water isn't some black magic, I swear to God. My redness is gone, my skin is soft, I don't resemble an oil rig covered in barnacles any more. I'm honestly quite shocked. Sorry to my old derm for our resistance to purchasing Eau Thermale around 20 years ago, and sorry to my bank account for making this a regular purchase in the future.

For a thermal water spray, it can definitely be seen as overpriced or unnecessary but using this is just so luxe. Sure, there are other face mists that have multiple ingredients but this one is just amazing! This spray is refreshing and hydrating so it is perfect for when your skin needs a little boost throughout the day. it is good for soothing and cooling after a day in the sun so ideal for summer. I also use this spray on my arms and legs as well! The 300ml size also lasts quite a while so does not need to be a regular purchase.

I was very sceptical about purchasing this product with my well-earned points from the Beauty Heaven Rewards Room, but I am glad that I did. I thought I was just getting a $20 bottle of water. The Avene Thermal Spring Water Mist was my bestie during this summer. I used it as a refresher during the hot days, in between my cleansing and serum routine and as a treatment for mild sunburn. It worked a treat! The packaging was great, with good dispersal of product. No irritation, stinging to the eyes and great for people of all ages. This product was a great introduction to Avene products. I also ordered a serum and moisturiser... as well as another bottle of this wonderful misting toner. I will be recommending this product to friends who want to calm, soothe and soften their sensitive/irritated skin.

The bottle is packaged in shrink wrap plastic so no one can tamper with it, I love this feature about it. It has a lid which you remove and a spray nozzle which once pressed lets out fine mist. I have been using this every day since its arrival and have found my very sensitive and just recovering rosacea skin to be very well hydrated and soothed. When I spray my dermis I let it sink in for a while then pat the remainder into my skin. One day I was driving for a couple of hours, the sun irritated my arm substantially and I had the bottle with me, so I misted my arm and went into a restaurant. I can tell you this really soothed my arm. I now keep this in my bag wherever I go now and use it on my face, neck and decolletage area daily, well a few times per day. I will certainly be buying bottles of this as it runs out as I am positive it will be a must for Summer especially and continue into the entire year. I would highly recommend this for people that look after babies as I am positive this would be an asset to the children. Thank you Beauty Heaven for this prize. 5* from me.

I picked this up to refresh my skin under masks, and to help with mask-acne. It not only made my skin feel hydrated but also worked great over makeup, but over the time I noticed that it was brightening my skin in a way that it looked glistening and fresh. The hydration also helped with the acne that was forming. I know this has lots of fan and it completely lives up to that.I also think this product is especially good for traveling as they have a travel size version.I have brought multiple of them after falling in love with it.
