The beauty must-haves for any beach day

Brand new bikini? Check. Wide-brimmed hat? Check. Now that your get-up is sorted, it’s time to pack your beach bag with products that’ll help you beat the heat – and look damn good while you’re at it!.
So what needs to take pride of place in your beach bag this summer? Read on to find out…
FRESH & FLIRTY FRAGRANCE
There’s nothing better than catching the waft of a fruity or floral fragrance while lazing in the sun. Now, we’re not suggesting that you lug your fave full-size perfume in your bag – instead, opt for a cute and compact roll-on or gel scent for touch-ups throughout the day.
bh product picks: MOR Little Luxuries Perfume Oil – Lychee Flower, Crabtree & Evelyn Somerset Meadow Perfume Gel
TOP-TO-TOE SUNSCREEN
Even if you “never get burnt”, there is no excuse not to slather yourself with high broad-spectrum sunscreen before hitting the beach, and every hour or so while you’re there. For convenience, choose a sunscreen that can be used on both the face and body – who doesn’t love a multi-tasker?
bh product picks: Neutrogena Beach Defence Sunscreen Lotion – Broad Spectrum, SUNSENSE Bronze Shield SPF 30+
TINTED LIP BALM
Under a veil of sunscreen, your face can look a little, well, dull, so why not make an impact with a pop of colour on your lips? For a pout that stands out, leave the lipstick and shiny lip gloss at home, and apply a tinted lip balm in a pretty pink hue. As an added bonus, a balm will protect your lips from the wind and keep them super nourished. Win!
bh product picks: Yes To Carrots C Me Blush Lip Tint, Lush It Started with a Kiss Tinted Lip Balm
REFRESHING FACE MIST
Planning on taking a dip or two in the ocean? Give your skin a hit of hydration by spritzing on a refreshing face mist. Not only will a face mist cool your skin and leave a lovely lingering fragrance, but it will also soften it and replenish lost moisture. No one wants a dry, flaky and parched complexion!
bh product picks: Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray, L’Occitane Verbana Fresh Summer Mist
PROTECTION FOR YOUR TRESSES
Skin’s not the only thing that falls victim to sun damage – your hair can cop a bit of a beating when exposed to the sun’s harsh rays. Before leaving the house, smooth a serum with UV protection through your hair, and throw a sun protection spray into your bag to spritz on after swimming.
bh product picks: Aveda Sun Care Protective Hair Veil, SunSilk Co-creations Frizz & Weather Defence Weather Protection & Shine Serum
What are your beach bag essentials? Will you be packing any of these goodies?

Definitely cool face mist, sunscreen and a SPF lip gloss are completely necessary. A lovely perfume would complete the experience.

I do all of these minus bringing fragrance alone, maybe a roll on deodorant. I like to keep my beach bag nice and simple. Towel, hat, sunnies, lip balm and lots of water and snacks lol

Can't go anywhere without sunscreen living in Queensland. Heaps of Burts Bees lipbalm, a water bottle and a good book.

I'd like to try/pack the Sunsense Bronzeshield SPF30 - haven't tried that one and a lot of the Sunsense products are really appealing to me this summer.
In my beach bag goes my lip balm with sunscreen always, Sunsense SPF50 mini tube for my face and Aubrey Organics Sunscreen for my body - it's only 40 minutes water resistant but I'm not usually at the beach for any longer than that anyhow. Oh! My towel too and some doggy treats for my siberian husky girl!
