Calendula Herbal Extract Alcohol-Free Toner Reviews

I think this is a pretty decent toner, but for that price I'd go elswhere and pay 1/3 to get the same thing. It's a touch drying, making it really good for oily skin, but without alcohol (But what toners today actually still contain alcohol!? That's ancient history & honestly not worth advertising.)

I really do like the aesthetic of the floating petals in the bottle, though if this actually adds any benefit is completely up for debate. I think it's just supposed to remind you of pretty little flowers and getting your money's worth.

I use this in conjunction with the Calendula cleanser.

I find this to be a very mild and gentle toner that worked very well on my combination skin. When applied to my skin, it doesn't have an astringent feeling, but instead, it smoothens my skin and leaves it feeling refreshed and hydrated. With some toners, after the toner has been absorbed into my skin, I can sometimes feel and see my T-zone beginning to become oily again. However, I found that this toner hydrated my skin well enough that there was a reduction in the oil production on my face. This toner has also helped to reduce the redness and zit flareups that I have, provided that I use this consistently. It has also smoothened out some of my acne scars and also helps in reducing the redness that I have over the skin prone to developing zits. As I layer my toner products, I have found that this is gentle and mild enough to be used in combination with other toners.

This toner has a light floral scent like its cleanser counterpart. Once again, I really like this product and have felt that this has improved my skin texture and has reduced the number of zits that I developed. However, like its cleanser, it is quite expensive.

I think the floral ingredients in this toner irritated my skin and broke it out. I've used many toners before with an even higher alcohol content and they were fine. Perhaps this is just unique to my skin so it might not break everyone out. Other than the breakouts I didn't enjoy the scent either, bit too floral. I am keen to try out the other toners from Kielh's though.

This toner is really gentle and soothing. I have sensitive and oil /combination skin. It is really easily irritated and prone to redness. The toner helps to tone down the redness and really helps with the irritation. I really love using this product after a scrub or a mask. It feels like it is putting a lot of moisture back into your face. It also smells really good. The only minor downside is that it leaves little bits of the flower on your face.
