All about male grooming

When it comes to primping and preening, are the men in your life a little out of their depths? Or just lazy? Are they happy to wash their face, hair and – cringe! –body with the same old bar of soap?
Well, ladies, it’s time for you to step in and help those gents to shake up their routines. By adding a few products to their routines, they’ll not only save time, but also pain (shaving rash, anyone?) and end up looking and feeling damn fine.
After all, the beauty-conscious man is on the rise, so do your partner/dad/brother/roommate a favour and get them up to speed on all things grooming.*
SKIN CARE
That scungy bar of soap is not doing your man’s skin any good. In fact, it’s probably stripping it of its natural oils, resulting in dehydration and those pimples he’s been complaining about.
Swap it for a refreshing face wash like the L’Oreal Paris Men Expert Pure Power Charcoal Wash, which will whisk away grime, oil and dirt from his pores. Post-shower, he should lock in hydration with a light moisturiser, like the Moosehead Oil Control Moisturiser Face Cream. A weekly scrub is ideal for buffing away dead skin. Try Clinique For Men Face Scrub.
SHAVING
Sporting a fuzz-free face is the most high maintenance beauty task guys are faced with. Since shaving is a daily ritual for most men, easy-to-use products are must-haves. The Lab Series Maximum Comfort Shave Gel is a great buy– it cools the skin before, during and after shaving and reduces redness. For a super smooth shave, treat him to the Gilette Fusion ProGlide with Flexball Technology. Thanks to its pivoting blade, it glides along facial contours easily.
HAIR CARE
As for hair care, it’s a good idea to go back to basics – a hydrating, anti-dandruff shampoo and conditioner and a styling wax are essential. He’ll love the refreshing feel of GAIA Made for Men Shampoo and Conditioner, and lush smell of Wen by Chaz Dean Defining Paste.
If he’s not into forking out for a trim every now and then (ahh, men…), then set him up with a simple clipper, like the VS Sassoon VS for Men Men Crew Cut. It’s cord-free and features a comb guide for easy-peasy manoeuvring.
BODY HAIR REMOVAL
That’s right: the modern day man isn’t afraid to remove unwanted hair, whether it’s on their legs, chest or back. Instead of watching him fiddle with wax or a razor, pop a hair removal cream on the bathroom shelf. The Nad’s Moisturising Hair Removal Crème is a good one – it removes hair in just four minutes! Afterwards, he can keep skin soft by slathering on NIVEA Body Rich Nourishing Body Moisturiser.
BODY HYGIENE
Body odour is no one’s friend, so a quality deodorant is crucial. Using a roll-on or spray comes down to personal preference, but we like Rexona Original for Men Aerosol and Mitchum Clinical Anti-Perspirant & Deodorant Sport for keeping sweat and odour at bay. A body wash like the The Body Shop White Musk for Men Hair and Body Wash will help to nix daily dirt, while a spritz of Tommy Hilfiger Tommy will make sure he smells #freshtodeath.

I love having a partner that looks after his skin. It's a extra thing to have in common and is on my list of desirables.

My husband just use to be just basic about skincare. Now he's taking more care after we joined Artistry. The Wen sweet almond mint defining paste sounds yum!!

My husband is very beauty conscious but in a good way. He likes to be clean shaven, free of ingrown hairs and smelling nice. He does spend a fair bit on aftershave, razers and moisturiser but who could begrudge a man who wants to look good for his wife.

Boyfriend uses Dove soap from head to toe. I've been researching the Clinique for men range for him either though he's adamant that our Dove soap does the trick haha

As I see the majority of men today are like beauty but not men always show up outside, a handful of them that beauty is only for women that just looks even within their but also want to be beautiful, they just could not overcome oneself. There are many beauty in my opinion choose this way: http://goo.gl/k9UjhZ

Boys care more than girls think. I like Clinique and L'Oreal's ranges for men. I would also buy him Tom Ford but when I can afford it for me first, lol ;-)

Haha my boyfriend will only use moisturiser if I'm there to nag him about it. Otherwise he is pretty low maintenance which makes me super jealous since he's got really good skin without having to do anything while I struggle to keep up with mine ^.^

I love the way my bf smells! He smells soooo good all the time. Not sure exactly what he uses but when I use the same skincare products, it just doesn't smell as good on myself.

My man is a bar of soap kind of guy . He hardly uses any skincare. Only has one perfume on the go too . he only buys perfume when he has run out of his current one . Occasionally he uses my body lotions when his skin feels dry. I have bought him various sets of men's skincare which have been sitting unused :(. I have a teenage son who has just started on using skincare because he has just noticed pimples and wants to take care of his skin so its a good start in my household re men's products. pity I have no daughters to share the love of skincare with. I usually share my goodies with my friends.
