Scarlett Johansson Is Launching A Skin Care Line And Here’s Everything We Know

A celebrity launching a skin care line? It’s a concept that needs no introduction. So, who’s the most recent A-lister stepping up to the beauty entrepreneur podium you ask? None other than Scarlett Johansson. And look, as the recipient of multiple “most beautiful woman alive” awards, it’s safe to assume that any insight into the actress’s beauty routine is sure to attract a dedicated crowd.  And yes, said crowd will undoubtedly include us.

While working as an ambassador for several high profile beauty brands, including Dolce & Gabbana and L’Oreal Paris, Scarlett discovered that her passion went far beyond typical involvement, a realisation that ultimately led to her role as chairman and co-founder of her own skin care range.

“I’ve been the face of several luxury brands throughout my career and all of those experiences were really wonderful. But — how do I put this? I guess I always felt like I was sort of playing a character in those campaigns and as I evolved, I wanted to create and represent a brand that was true to me,” she said, in the March issue of Vogue

And so, The Outset was born. The four-product range is set to be released on the 1st of March, alongside co-founder and beauty executive Kate Foster, with funding provided by the same company involved with Pattern Beauty by Tracee Ellis Ross.

Just two days after The Outset launched on Instagram, the brand gained over 34,000 followers. As you scroll through the feed you’ll see glimpses of the simple white and blue bottles with sentiments like “clean and effective,” “elevate your every day,” and “find freedom in the uncomplicated” written across the posts.

So far, that’s all we know about Scarlett’s launch. We’ll keep you posted as more information becomes available. As for its availability in Australia? That’s still yet to be confirmed but here’s hoping!

What do you think about this launch? Are you excited to give it a try?

  1. I find all celebrities are launching something and it is getting to the stage i don’t bother checking out as usually expensive and there are a lot of good well known products out there that have been proven

  2. She is an actress, has no experience in skincare her profession is in acting but I think if you’ve got the cash you can do whatever you want.

The thing is beauty means something for some people but with celebrities, it’s another business opportunity to cash in. It’s very disappointing!
