The secret to celebrity skin
Botox, airbrushing and round-the-clock make-up artists aside, there are some celebs that seem to sport naturally radiant complexions no matter what the time or the season. So naturally, what I want to know is...what hell is their secret??
Word on the street is that it’s called the Intraceuticals Infusion, and it's raved about by the likes of Miranda Kerr, Naomi Campbell, Molly Sims, and Cate Blanchett. Even Justin Timberlake says it makes his "skin look dope".
So what exactly is it? Well, it’s an in-salon treatment that uses therapeutic-grade oxygen and hyaluronic acid (an ultra-hydrating substance that occurs naturally in the skin) to deliver specialised active serums to your complexion.
To start, your therapist will cleanse your face, before slathering on a vitamin and mineral-rich Intraceuticals serum, which will penetrate your skin as the Intraceuticals Infusion machine goes to work.
The machine itself looks almost like a pen (or one of those microphones that you can plug in to your computer) and as it passes over your skin all you’ll feel is some light vibrations and a gentle suction. In fact, it’s so relaxing that my therapist told me that the last time Cate Blanchett was in town, she fell asleep while having the treatment!
During my treatment, my therapist did the Infusion one side of my face and then had me look in the mirror, and I kid you not beauties, but that side of my face both looked and felt noticeably plumper, brighter and firmer – it was crazy! Obviously I quickly had her do the other side, and was really pleased with the end results (which seemed to improve over the next few hours).
I only had one treatment, but a regular treatment course is recommended for long-lasting results. You can even tailor your treatment to address specific issues, such wrinkles, hyper-pigmentation and blemishes.
