The latest trend in cosmetic procedures

So when someone says 'Botox' or 'fillers', do you automatically think of giant, unnatural looking lips and plastic-looking cheeks?
Fair enough, we have seen a lot of that (thanks., Hollywood).
Well, it seems like times they are a-changing. The Victorian Cosmetic Institute has found that even though appointments for Botox and fillers have increased over the last few years, the actual volumes administered have decreased, meaning that the results are more natural (and less plastic) looking.
“Australians are seeking more natural looking results and in turn it’s becoming more natural for people to seek treatment, it’s a very interesting pattern
indeed,”says VCI cosmetic physician Dr. Sara Mullen.
So it seems like those seeking a little bit of an enhancement are looking for less of distorted fish-face and more of natural result. An interesting trend - definitely a lot easier on the eyes.
Does it change your perception of injectables knowing that you can achieve a natural result?

I do not mind people are doing it. I am not ready to do it personally though

I have just had botox injected and was wondering if someone could tell me how long before it works. Thanks.

I think cosmetic injectables and Botox were always supposed to be used for gentle enhancement and slight rectification, so I believe we are going back to the way it was intended to be used.

I don't understand why people want to look unnatural after they have had Botox/ injections. I'm not against cosmetic enhancements as long as everything is done in moderation.

If natural results are achievable then it certainly changes my perception. If could feel assured people wouldn't notice I've had it done I think I'd be comfortable getting some.

I think if you look at people like Elle Mcpherson, Oprah & Mariah Carey who have no doubt had work done and look incredable to know it can be done well.

I think everyone is seeking a natural look but I think when people get addicted they tend to want more and more and therefor end up looking un-natural.

It's a personal choice. I'm happy the way I am though - potions and lotions are fine for me.

The concept of any kind of injectable horrifies me for whatever reason. Happy to age gracefully.

To each their own I guess. I'm still not keen on the idea of injecting toxins into my body for cosmetic gain, but ask me in 10 or 15 years when I will need it a lot more and I might change my tune.

Good to see there is a trend to a more natural look with these.

Not sure I'll try them, I like my face moving to much to potentially freeze it's natural look & movement.

I still probably won't try it. I don't like the idea of having needle injections.

I don't judge anyone who does it. You won't know what it is like unless you try it

I would probably rather try some laser treatment or something first, but may consider injectibles at some point . . although the idea of needles in my face does make me flinch.

I would try injectibles, especially when given to give a natural youthful look.

No. I don't like the idea of injecting anything into my skin and just because it's become more widely acceptable wont change my thoughts.
Time will tell the long-term affects and even if I'm the only old person in the nursing home with wrinkles, I'll have no regrets!

Its not my sort of thing but if you dont notice it i wouldnt be opposed to it. People definitely go too far though which is where the bad rep comes from.
