Oscars 2009 beauty – page 2

With so many fabulous frocks and so many flawless complexions we struggled to get down to just four faultless looks that we’ll be adding to our repertoire this season.

Angelina Jolie

David Babaii who styled Angie for the awards using his David Babaii for WildAid range (launched in partnership with Kate Hudson no less) said sectioning was his top tip for achieving this romantic look. First up, he used David Babaii for WildAid Bohemian Beach Spray, “scrunching it into the hair to give the right texture and hold”. Her locks were then blow-dried using a nozzle attachment (try Sunbeam Salon Technique Ionic 1800W Hair Dryer) and large round brush (VS Sassoon Mega Ceramic Large Round Brush is perfect for this) to smooth the hair. The key to her curvaceous crown? David Babaii for WildAid Volcanic Ash Root Amplifier and backcombing. Ribbon curls, the technique whereby you curl hair similar to curling ribbon was used to create the cascading curls and trusty bobby pins to secure half up, half down. Voila.
