This multi-tasker will cut your morning routine in half

As summer creeps up, temperatures rise and the possibility of sweating off our foundation becomes very real, we start considering how to adapt our routines for the warmer weather. In most cases this means waterproof mascara, a sea salt spray, sunscreen and a lighter base. This is why the latest product beautyheaven put to the test was the Rodan and Fields Radiant Defense Perfecting Liquid Broad Spectrum SPF 25. A tinted moisturiser with broad spectrum sunscreen, which takes care of both foundation and sun protection in a single step.

Aside from being a solid multi-tasker (which anyone and everyone can get around) I was most excited to try this product as it offers light coverage but comes from a brand who is known for it's effective skin care. Foundations and sunscreens alike can often clog pores and/or leave you unavoidably shiny by the middle of the day, this product did neither of those things. It evened my skin tone, as well managing to keep my skin looking dewy and fresh all day, without looking oily, which is no mean feat as I have extremely dry skin.
Doubling as skin care, the Radiant Defense Perfecting Liquid is formulated with antioxidants to prevent against environmental aggressors such as pollution, repair the skin's natural barrier, while also working as an SPF 25 sunscreen. It comes in six shades, all of which are lightweight and buildable, meaning I could change my coverage as I wanted - opting for a heavier coverage on work days and a lighter coverage on the weekends.
I am a sunscreen fanatic and would personally still opt for a broad spectrum with up to SPF 50, if I knew ahead of time I would be exposed to the sun. However on a day to day basis, especially in summer I love this formula as it cuts out the need for a moisturiser, BB cream and/or foundation, as well as adding an SPF specific product.
A few more of my favourite multi-tasking products coming into summer include Benefit Cosmetics Brow Contour Pro; I use this on my brows but also as a brown eyeliner, for an easy, understated smoky eye look . I also love the Fenty Beauty Match Stix Trio, specifically Trippin. This doubles as a blush and a rosy, slightly shimmery eyeshadow shade. And for my go-to body product I am obsessed with the Ouai Rose Body & Hair Oil, as it smells absolutely divine (no perfume necessary) and works as a moisturiser for your body and a de-frizzing hair oil (find all products at sephora.com.au).

Most BB's I use have at least SPF 30-50 plus you can see the shades in store, where can I see R &F shades?

There's a shade matcher you can access online by uploading a selfie of your face. I recommend going one shade up though since the shade match can be a little light. http://bit.ly/TryRadiantDefense

I'm using Bioderma Photoderm BB Cream SPF50+ which I love and is less than half the price of the featured product.

$89 is a lot for a tinted moisturiser. There are a lot of good brands on the market for a fraction of this price.

On a day-to-day basis I tend to use tinted moisturisers, which have skincare properties and sunscreen protection, yet providing a light coverage to even my skin tone. It really does cut down my morning routine quite significantly.

SPF15 products protect 95% of harmful UVA/UVB rays anything higher only protects marginally more at 97% . So just because a product has a higher SPF doesn't mean a huge difference in protection. Any product that has an SPF rating is one we all should be wearing.
