Best body moisturiser

Just wondering what people recommend for body moisturisers? I have fairly dry skin and want something that REALLY works!

Also, I don’t want to spend a fortune on it. I tend to buy body moisturiser from the grocery store.

Hey Roxy, if you’re still interested in the Thalgo moisturiser, Adore Beauty have it right now on sale. For $29 you get the Thalgo Marine Shower Gel and the Thalgo Soft Hydrating Emulsion….BARGAIN!!! I couldn’t help myself I had to buy this too. It saved me heaps and now I’ve got a backup bottle.

I’ve never been one to splurge on body moisturisers, let alone using one religiously (like I should be doing as my skin is so dry). But after receiving a deluxe sample of Thalgo’s Soft Hydrating Emulsion body moisturiser, I had to have the full size. It cost me $53 and I know that sounds crazy and until I had used this cream and breathed in the amazing scent of this, I wouldn’t of dreamed of doing this. But couldn’t help myself. I’m addicted now!

Oh no, I should not have read this. I adore trying new body moisturisers/butters and have always thought Thalgo makes excellent body products. Might have to give this a whirl! x

Nivea! I find that the purple one works better than the blue one which is supposed to work for very dry skin. I think I just like the texture better and it leaves your skin so smooth! (and it smells great too)

I find that in winter cetaphil and aveeno just don’t cut it for my skin

Another trick I have (beccause I have really dry skin) is to use soberlene cream in the shower. I know it sounds weird. I’m not sure whether it works for all brands but the redwins one can be used in the shower, although I still use a body wash before it. It’s amazing how well it hydrates even the driest skin.

I second the sorbolene trick, but I cannot stand the smell of it so my poor skin goes without. Mum also uses it the same way after washing her hands with soap throughout the day, her skin is incredibly dry and her hands are prone to cracking and bleeding, it seems to help reduce the amount of splitting.

For the winter, I use Nivea Creme and for the summer I’m planning to use the new Garnier 7 day one for normal skin. It smells amazing! 🙂

I have a few kiehl’s creme de corps samples and so far I am absolutely loving them. The most amazing, silky smooth moisturiser I have ever tried that is not greasy at all!

Mum has super dry body skin and loves Vaseline Intensive Care Cocoa Butter (brown bottles). She finds the Nivea body lotions too greasy strangely haha. I’m not a fan of Nivea’s either, they just seem to sit on top of my skin. I like Garnier’s at the moment but I wouldn’t call my skin super dry or anything.

Well I have been using lately Neutrogena Body Oil followed with lashings of Vitamen E cream. The cream holds the oil in place and it feels good. Not expensive the oil is about $10 and Vitamen E cream upto to $5. You do need to moisturise the cream in but it works. Go for it, I have thirsty skin so I am always trying different products and this is OK. When it runs out I will try something different. Good luck!!
