7 beauty & health products you didn’t know you needed August 2019

I don’t know about you, but the colder weather (mixed with Sydney’s arctic wind these last few weeks?!) has wreaked havoc on my hair and skin.

But with winter’s end fast approaching, I’ve officially begun my summer prep journey – starting with re-hydrating basically every orifice of my body.

So this month’s top finds were all about getting my skin, hair (and even teeth!) back on track after winter sucked the life out of me.

Here are 7 beauty & health products you didn’t know you needed to help you recover from a rough AF winter!

Carmex Lip Balm

After months of winter, lip balm is my current BFF! The Carmex lip balm jar is a cult classic lip balm, and for good reason. This hydrating balm is formulated with cocoa butter and enriched with beeswax, camphor and menthol to give lips a tingling sensation that keeps them supple and plump all day long. The unique formula also contains salicylic acid to mildly exfoliate chapped lips. It can be worn alone or over lipstick to add a glossy shine.

Nimue Al Neck & Décolleté Cream

I’ve never paid much mind to my neck and decolletage, but as my 30s slowly creep up, I’m finding it increasingly necessary to have a dedicated skincare routine for more than just my face. The Nimue Al NEck & Décolleté Cream is a moisturiser that improves elasticity and firmness and works to decrease the carbamylation process in the skin, assisting to restructure skin layers and provide powerful anti-ageing results.

Clairol Root Touch Up Concealing Spray

One of the more generous traits my parents have passed on to me is premature grey hair. Thanks mum and dad! And while I do get highlights frequently, anyone with grey hair knows how difficult it can be to manage regrowth between salon visits. The Clairol Root Touch-up Concealing Spray is a quick and effective way to cover greys (or any regrowth) that lasts up until the next shampoo. It’s sweat-resistant, water-resistant, and even rain-resistant.

UpCircle Body Scrub Coffee & Tangerine

As an avid self-tanner, doing a weekly body scrub to exfoliate dead skin and left-over tan is a must for me. The UpCircle Body Scrub Coffee & Tangerine is my new fave. It’s formulated with sea salt, grapefruit and coconut oil to buff away dry skin cells and rejuvenate fresh skin. It’s also packed with antioxidants like caffeine to promote blood flow and reduce cellulite.

Natralus Hand & Skin Shield Liquid Gloves

Dry hands in winter is a reality for the best of us. And while most of us use varying products to protect the skin on our face and neck from environmental stressors and pollutants, we often forget to do the same for our hands. The Natralus Hand & Skin Shield Liquid Gold is a hand moisturiser that hydrates while locking out external stressors. It creates a protection barrier for the hands against irritants like chemicals, ink, dyes, dirt/grime, oil, grease, and even fake tan!
