The lowdown on four easy breezy beauty staples

If you’re anything like me, you’re still struggling with your Christmas shopping (and probably on the verge of a mini meltdown).

Racking our brains to think of the perfect gift for our mum, sis and/or bestie is exhausting – and if you ask me, after such a mammoth effort, we’ve earned a pressie of our own!

All we need is just one little treat to get us through the holiday season feeling fab.

Whether you’re a strobing queen, skin care enthusiast, fitness fanatic or high-pony princess, these bad boys are just the ticket…

Inika Light Reflect Highlighting Crème

bh’s Astrid says:

“For me, summer is all about minimal effort with big impact, which is just a sneaky way of saying that I’m too lazy to put make-up on. I’m not big on too much during the hotter months – the look I go for is a flawless, glowing complexion, so highlighter has got to be my number one beauty product. I’ve been using Inika Light Reflecting Highlighting Crème for a few weeks and I just love the way it gives my skin life. I use the all-natural illuminating mineral crème for strobing: to highlight above my cheekbones, brow bones, Cupid’s bow and down the sides of my nose for a naturally luminous finish. Dust a bit of bronzer over my cheeks and forehead and I’m good to go!”

Lady Jayne Smoothies

bh’s Vanessa says:

“I love these Lady Jayne Smoothies! Now that summer is here it’s way too hot to wear my hair down, so I need elastics that are going to hold my hair up all day. These ones are super soft when it comes to holding up my hair and are very good at keeping it intact, especially when I wear my ‘model bun’. They also minimise the damage and pull you can sometimes get from those tight elastics (hello headaches)! The velvet finish is super cute, and not only do they feel great, but they look great too! I have both the brown and black colours.”

Dr. LeWinn’s Multi-Moisture Multi-Use Balm

bh’s Beth says:

“Until now, I’d never tried Dr LeWinn’s products before, but I have to say the Multi-Moisture Multi-Use Balm has made me want to snap up many more! The first thing I noticed was the bright orange colour (which doesn’t show when you apply it, but still, it’s very pretty), and the yummy scent (really fruity and summery). I also loved how compact the tube was – although I had initial doubts about whether it would contain enough product! The balm itself is formulated to be used in a few different ways, but I opted to spread it on my dry lips and cuticles. I found it glided onto both areas really easily and a small amount went a ridiculously long way. It left a nice gleam on my lips and had an instantly nourishing, softening effect, which I loved. I also found it absorbed really easily into my cuticles (I just rubbed it in gently with my fingertips) and, as someone who’s plagued by cracked cuticles, I was impressed with its ability to keep them at bay. I’m planning on using this as a hydrating mask next. One thing’s for sure: I will definitely be using this one up!”

Blackmores Exercise Multi

bh’s Anna says:

“I’m one of those people that complains about exercising while I’m doing it, loves how it makes me feel immediately after (ah, the endorphins!) then is back to complaining the next day when the muscle strain and pain kicks in. So, I’ve been on the hunt for a product that helps with energy during workouts and muscle relief post-workout – enter Blackmores Exercise Multi! I’ve been taking the vitamin daily for a few weeks now with my lunch and while there’s no immediate effect (I don’t start bouncing off the walls like I do when I take a caffeine-packed one pre-workout), I have noticed that I’ve felt less sluggish in general and I’ve had more stamina during my workouts. I’m definitely still achy in my muscles after training but these tablets are packed with vitamin D which helps to support both muscle and bone health – tick and tick!”
