Avène XeraCalm A.D Balm is a lipid-replenishing balm for severe dryness and skin prone to atopic dermatitis.

The formula  was created using minimum ingredients, including the I-Modulia complex; a result of 12 years of scientific development, which helps to reduce itching sensations caused by skin dryness and soothes redness and irritation caused by the skin's hyper-reactivity. 

This complex is combined with Cer-Omega; lipids which resemble those found in the skin, that help to repair, nourish and strengthen the protective film, giving the skin better resistance against external aggressions.

Members were particularly excited with the timing of this trial, as many were suffering from dry skin as a result of the change in season. The Avène XeraCalm A.D Balm was described as a 'lifesaver' by many, with members praising the product for curing long lasting eczema within the first week of use. Majority of traillers described their skin as being silky and noticeably smoother.

The substantial size of the bottle was a win with members, as was the easy to dispense lid ,which users said distributes enough product with just one pump, while also recognised as being very hygienic. 

For some members, the balm was too thick to wear during the day so they favoured it as a night time cream. Those who were applying the balm during the mornings were impressed when they could see it washing off in the shower at the end of the day, proving that it would last on the skin for up to 12 hours,  providing all day hydration.

Triallers described the balm as being thick and silky, with majority noticing the relief in flakey and itchy skin. While some members saw a difference to their overall 'winter skin', others used the product as a spot treatment, which they reported cleared and calmed eczema and dermatitis patches on the neck, inner thighs and wrists.

Members who typically get headaches from stronger scented products were also grateful that product contains 0% frangrance, noting it also contains 0% preservatives and 0% parabens.
