5 natural skin care ingredients your complexion will love

Natural skin care products and real results are two things people don’t often associate together, but with new tried and tested botanical ingredients that work hard to provide real results, your opinion could soon change. From marshmallow root extract to red clover flower, these natural ingredients work to seriously hydrate, soothe and improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, for a glowing, more even-toned complexion - without harsh or synthetic chemicals. Here are just as few of the natural ingredients you need to know about:

Marshmallow root extract
While you may be tempted by the sweet sounding name, we guarantee your skin will like this ingredient way more than the edible version. The marshmallow is a plant with a flower that has been used in traditional healing practices for generations, however it is not seen very often in skin care. The extract from the root (more so than the plant itself) is super calming and has anti-inflammatory properties, making it the perfect cleansing ingredient for sensitive skin. Find this ingredient in: Jurlique Herbal Recovery Signature Moisturising Cream
Red clover flower extract
Known for its ability to enhance the hydrating properties of hyaluronic acid (which may I add, is already a super star hydrating ingredient), the extract of red clover flower is your new hero when it comes to smoothing fine lines and wrinkles. Combine this with the antioxidants found in viola tricolor (which is a flower closely related to a pansy) and you’ll be looking at a more even-toned complexion too. Find these ingredients in: Jurlique Herbal Recovery Signature Serum
Japanese cedar bud extract
If you’re sleep deprived most days of the week (let’s be honest, who isn’t), this ingredient should be a staple in your skin care routine, if it isn’t already. It works to counteract visible signs of fatigue and improve skin luminosity, so you can fake eight hours sleep (when you really had five.) It’s also deeply hydrating, leaving skin texture refreshed and smoothed. It’s a win-win. Find this ingredient in: Jurlique Herbal Recovery Signature Moisturising Lotion
Persian silk tree extract
A game changer for those with under-eye bags, Persian silk tree extract is anti-inflammatory and helps the contracting of skin cells, so you can wave goodbye to puffiness. Combined with the likes of yarrow and beech tree bud and the high level of antioxidants will help brighten the thin skin of the eye area as well. Find these ingredients in: Jurlique Herbal Recovery Signature Eye Cream
Nasturtium
A gorgeous flowering plant that also has serious skin care benefits, nasturium helps clear congested pores and works to improve circulation. Incorporated with ingredients such as lavender, calendula and yarrow, nasturium is given an antioxidant boost to also help protect the skin from harsh environmental damage, such as pollution. Find these ingredients in: Jurlique Herbal Recovery Signature Mist
The good news is that all of these natural ingredients (and so many more) can be found in the newly reformulated Jurlique Herbal Recovery Signature range and, according to our Trial Team (who have been road-testing the Serum), they seem to producing results! So wave goodbye to what you used to think about natural because these powerful botanical ingredients could help to solve all your skin woes and bring back your glowing complexion in no time.

I switched to natural-based skin care when Jurlique introduced their products in Australia. That was a very long time ago!

Haven't tried Jurlique products before. Someone I went to school with a long long time ago works for Jurlique at Myer, should go and visit her sometime at the Jurlique counter.

I remember the first Jurlique store in Melbourne about a quarter century ago. Haven't used Jurlique for a long time, but they were a pioneering natural skin care brand. Most popular was the rosewater mist spray and rose hand cream, which many brands copied (or tried to!) Interested in the new products now.

I've hear of some of these - marshmallow and red clover - but not the others. Jurlique is a fab brand.
