How-to: get really glowing skin
Sure, make-up can certainly help disguise dark shadows and illuminate dull, sallow skin, but if you want your skin to glow – and I mean really glow – there are a couple of quick and easy steps you can take before you apply your make-up.
According to YSL Make-Up Artist, Natasha Severino, if you massage your skin while cleansing, you encourage blood circulation, which helps to oxygenate the skin, plumping it up and producing a glow from within.
“Once you’ve massaged your cleanser into your skin and rinsed it off, take your moisturiser and, working in circular motions, massage that into your skin too,” says Natasha. “This will help the product really penetrate into your skin, hydrating it and leaving you with a really natural glow.”
Finally, before applying your make-up, Natasha recommends applying an illuminating face serum. “Instead of simply sweeping your serum across your skin, try pressing it into your skin with your fingertips,” she advises. “The heat from your hands will help the product become part of your skin, rather than just sitting on top of it, and your complexion will radiate.”
