beautyheaven says:
The INVISIBLE ZINC Sheer Defence Tinted Moisturiser SPF50 is a non-comedogenic, vegan and two-hour water-resistant lightweight moisturiser and high protection mineral sunscreen. Formulated with zinc oxide, the SPF 50 tinted moisturiser works to nourish, protect and prevent the appearance of premature ageing caused by UV exposure.
The general consensus from Trial Team members was that the consistency of this product felt a lot more like a moisturiser than it did a typical sunscreen. From the scent (or lack thereof), to the non-greasy finish, this formula was praised for acting as both a primer for makeup or, in some cases, taking the place of sheer coverage base makeup altogether.
From beach days and outdoor workouts to running day-to-day errands and social outings, this small compact tube was found to be the perfect addition to the makeup, gym, and handbags of our Trial Team members.
As far as which skin types this product is suitable for, members who typically experienced sensitivities found no issue with wearing this product every day. Thanks to the dermatologist tested and fragrance free formula, no members who tried this product experienced breakouts, clogged pores or irritated skin.
Oily skin types found the matte finish formula helped to reduce excess shine, and those with dry skin found the formula still left them with a healthy, dewy glow.
Members revealed that the important position of an SPF and lightweight tinted moisturiser in their makeup routine had finally been filled.
The lightweight formula replaced the step of a sunscreen, moisturiser and for some, a BB cream. For this reason, members were excited to condense their makeup routine into one easy, dewy, nourishing and protecting step.

You say:
“This SPF50 tinted lightweight moisturiser slid on so easily and remained non greasy throughout the day. That meant no breakouts after use, or skin irritability. The light shade complimented my skin and smoothed out its tone.” – Belleful
“I was fortunate to receive this item to review and I am so glad I did. It is such a lightweight moisturiser that gives great sun protection without feeling greasy. I was able to wear this without my skin breaking out (which is what usually happens when I wear sunscreen). The tint gave a super light coverage which I liked on days I didn’t feel like wearing makeup.” – SparrowX
“I can actually say this is the sunscreen I have always been looking for. It goes on smooth and light but definitely gives great coverage. Non sticky and the light fragrance, makes this a joy to put on my face.” – Emmaj77

This would be interesting to try. Last time I used IZ it was gluggy and thick and I really didn’t like it! Having oily skin and pimple prone skin, even though I’m 53 I wonder if it still would be too rich.
I’m 55 & zit-prone – I found the zinc was wonderful for my skin, Clearcrystalwater!
They reformulated a few years ago- i had same issues before but its really good now. It is still thick but very good in summer
I love it and I think it’s a very elegant formulation!
Never tried anything from this brand before
Me either
I haven’t either. It looks good though.
Give it a whirl! I think it’s amazing and it’s reef-friendly!
no it’s a new one on me too
Wouldn’t mind giving this a go
Me too, I think it sounds pretty good.
This would have been a great trial to be on. Congratulations Beauties.
Yes it would have been grerat to try the newest formulation.
I had an awful reaction to Invisible Zinc ages ago but haven’t been game to try it since. Congratulations to the trial team members.
I used it when it first came out years ago and didn’t really like it, very thick. Wonder if the formulation has changed.
Thats the impression I get when someone mentions Zinc. Too thick and messy
I did use it in shade Light. Does not oxydise. Was good and wore it when needed tough protection summer time. Prefer lightweight spf and yet to find one. This one is heavy for my skin type.
Good to read your opinion on this one Yohanna. I too prefer lightweight sunscreen. Have you tried Reef? I like it and it’s half price right now at Chemist Warehouse.
Yeah I prefer light ones too but the light ones all seem to be chemical based. ; /
So true CCW! My issue with chemical based ones is eye burn and bitterness in my mouth. Somehow they manage to creep in even though I avoid lip area. Only Canmake mermaid skin didn’t do that (this one great for oily and combo skin). And Photoderm from Bioderma (but this one has tint and with time from opening starts to darken towards the end of usage, the light version)
I have this exact issue with chemical sunscreens compared to physical sunscreens!
No, never tried Reef S-P.
If it i a little heavy I add a little bit of moisturiser as I apply and it seems to help
My issue with IZ tinted is the shade range. I am very fair and even the Light looks like a tan on my face. I wish there were more shades.
I also have that issue, I have not tried this IZ product before but my experience with other brands in regards to BB creams, tinted sunscreens and standard tinted creams is not good.
IZ sheer comes in no tint too! And it is good for fair skin. I have light skin w olive undertone and light shade is good for me. Also no tint.
I have brown skin and I use the light tint IZ! Love it!
I think that I’m going to buy this once I see it on sale, looks like a great product.
Really good results!
The reviews look good on this, I haven’t tried it before will keep this one in mind.
The ratings are very high on this one. I’m not much of a fan of tinted sunscreens, but it’s better than a white residue.
Yes I agree -I haven’t tried a tinted sunscreen yet
I LOVE IZ! While it does feel heavy on my skin, which I usually hate, especially in summer, I find it doesn’t bother me. If I (reluctantly) find myself in the sun, my skin feels shaded, i.e. it doesn’t feel like the sun is directly on my skin. I HATE the feel of sunlight on my skin!
I was on the trial, wasn’t sure what to expect but I’m now converted!! The light shade was perfect for my fair skin, gave me great protection and it did not cause my combination skin any breakouts.
It’s always great when a trial results in finding a product that works for you.
Looove this sunscreen ♡♡
Sounds like a great sunscreen. Unlike a lot of other people I usually don’t reach for tinted moisturisers or BB creams as the colour is always too dark (and noticeably dark for me, even though I always pick light) so that is the only thing which would keep me away from this product.
Tinted moisturizers are great for time-saving and that this has an SPF factor too makes it even more so.
I used Invisible Zinc a few years ago and thought it was too thick for my liking. Also, the light shade wasn’t light enough.
Ooh, I need to give this version a try. I used IZ years ago and found it was too thick
Another great trial! Keen to try this one.
Why is there a specific age group for this trial? everyone needs sunscreen regardless of their age.
interesting! Sounds like a nice product..
This is hands down my favourite sunscreen! I always have a tube on hand!
So many great products in the range now
I’ve never tried invisible zinc before but this looks good!
I find the medium a bit orange. I have brown skin and love the light tint! ❤️
Yup medium has a bit of a strange tint
This is one of my favourites. I mix the light and the medium to get the right shade for me.
I haven’t seen this brand before. But keeping my face hydrated during the day is really important for me
I’m a bit wary of using a zinc product
Aww man would’ve loved to have been on this trial! I prefer mineral sunscreens but always have to deal with the greasiness. This sunscreen sounds fab!
I tried the sunscreen once and it was like coating myself with liquid chalk. I’ve not bothered about it since, but maybe it has improved in the intervening years.

Shame we will have the wettest summer…
I keep trying IZ, but it just doesn’t agree with my skin. I even bought this exact tinted 50+ just a few weeks ago and I found it super-greasy and the colour (light) was awful on me. I powdered to set and I ended up with a horrid, cakey mess on my face. I’m glad the trial team liked it, but I just cannot recommend it – ended up in the bin for me!
Great high protection and some light coverage
I tried Invisible Zinc years ago and hated it. Perhaps I should try it again.
I tried medium shade. It is perfectly match with my skin colour and feels good on the skin.
I have tried this and really like it.
A tip: I have medium brown skin and my hubby has very pale skin. We use the light tint and find it works wonders for both our skin tones!
