Have you ever slathered on all of your skin care products only to wonder if you’ve got too many layers on, and if they’re actually doing their job? We don’t blame you.
There are so many different types of skin care products out there with multiple benefits, so it’s important to layer each one in the correct order to ensure your skin soaks up all the good stuff and rewards you with a healthy glow.
bh’s Michelle demonstrates in the video above how to layer your skin care products so your skin reaps the benefits of every single one.
Don’t feel like watching our video? Follow this step-by-step guide instead:
STEP 1: Apply serum or oil on clean skin. These are packed with a high concentration of active ingredients and antioxidants, so it’s best to put them on first so they sit closest to the skin.
STEP 2: Simply dab a few dots of eye cream underneath your lower lash line, and then use your fourth finger to pat it in.
STEP 3: Apply a facial moisturiser to your entire face. This will seal in the oil, serum and treatment products so they can do their job while protecting the skin from environmental factors such as weather, pollution and other potential irritants.
STEP 4: If none of your skin care products contain SPF, now’s the time to pop some sunscreen on.
What products do you use in your skin care routine? How do you layer your skin care products?
Thank you interesting article BH
I know there’s an endless debate about whether oil or moisturiser should go on first, but my skin can’t absorb both, so I use rosehip oil.
