It wouldn’t exactly be breaking news if I told you Jennifer Lawrence was spotted on the red carpet sporting spectacular hair and make-up, would it? You’d probably mutter to your screen, ‘Duh, Olivia, tell us something we don’t know!’
After feeling momentarily crushed, I’d swiftly pull myself together and tell you that J-Law has done the impossible and under-glammed the Academy Awards luncheon in a good way.
We’re thinking of it as her message to the masses. An objection to the run-of-the-mill red lips and onyx smoky eyes that we’re so used to seeing around awards season – and especially at the most important event of them all – The Oscars.
Well done J-Law – we love you long time.
