Heat it up like Beyonce

Heat it up like Beyonce

I’ve got a bit of a girl crush on Beyoncé. In fact, if I’m going to be honest with you, it’s actually pretty massive. Not only can the girl sing and dance like no-one’s business, but the way that she flaunts her curvaceous figure and crazy curls (which, refreshingly, she doesn’t constantly try to tame) proves to girls all over the world that you can embrace what you were born with and still look super hot in the process. And if that’s not a great role model, I don’t know what is!

And speaking of super hot, we’re loving the smokin’ make-up look she’s sporting in this picture. We figured you’d probably like it too, so here’s the lowdown on how you can recreate the look at home:

1.) Sweep a pearlescent beige or light gold shadow across your entire lid, blending it into the inner corner of each eye. Try:Australis Mineral Eyeshadow in Mother of Pearl.

2.) Define your upper lash line with a long-wear liquid liner, increasing the thickness of the line towards the outer corner of each eye. We like: Prestige Cosmetics Liquid Eyeliner.

3.) Sweep a charcoal or dark bronze shadow across the contour of each eye, blending the colour upwards and outwards towards your brow bone to create a smoky, winged effect. Try:L’Oreal Paris Color Appeal Chrome Shine in Starry Black.

4.) Using the same dark shade and a fine angled brush (we like: MAC 263 Small Angle Brush), carefully define your lower lash line.

5.) If your eyeshadow is looking a little harsh at this point, use the light hue from step one and subtly blend it in to the darker shadow to soften it up.

6.) Finish with lashings of lengthening mascara, such as Jane Iredale Mineral Makeup Lengthening Mascara, a pop of pink blush on your cheekbones, and a slick of nude lipstick.

Now that you know how to look like Beyoncé, why not smell like her too with her gorgeous gourmand fragrance, Heat. It combines a heady mix of vanilla, neroli and peach with honeysuckle nectar, musk and amber and is guaranteed to leave you feeling utterly feminine. Plus, if you purchase it right now at David Jones, you’ll also receive a bonus free gift – now that’s something to sing and dance about!
