The skin care routine Gwyneth Paltrow credits for her glowing complexion
In a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar for their ‘Go to Bed With Me’ series, a bare-faced Gwyneth Paltrow revealed her nighttime skin care routine. While the routine is by no means affordable for the average beauty buff (adding up to roughly $800), with a complexion as glowing as Gwyneth's, we thought it was worth taking note.
Gwyneth takes us through all of her favourite products (of which a significant portion is her own brand, goop!), and while the price tags might add up, overall her routine is really simple, basic and quite relatable!

The first step in her routine? Right before showering, Gwyneth credits dry brushing for keeping her skin in peak condition. Also mentioned by celebrities such as Miranda Kerr and Molly Sims, dry brushing is hugely beneficial in improving the appearance of skin, evening tone and helping with concerns such as cellulite. This is due to a stimulation of blood flow and assisting with lympathic drainage.

Next in Gwyneth’s skin care routine is a Himalayan salt scalp scrub shampoo (a serious tongue twister, she points out). She uses one from her own brand, goop. Her next step is to use a salt detox body scrub, while still in the shower.
Her facial routine consists of three simple steps - an exfoliator, a serum and an eye cream. Gwyneth's exfoliator of choice is the Goop Exfoliating Instant Facial, which is made up of AHAs and BHAs which work to dissolve dead skin cells and reveal deeply cleansed and smooth skin. This is followed by a serum, Gwyneth swearing by Vintner’s Daughter Botanical Serum which features a range of natural ingredients and oils that have both anti-inflammatory and hydrating properties to combat Gwyneth's skin that "tends to be on the drier side". Her final step is to add Dr. Barbara Sturm Eye Cream, a brand sky-rocketing to cult status.
