Glosscars 2012 - men's - beautyheaven

It’s the time of year we know you love beauties…when all your trialling and testing pays off, and your beauty expertise really counts. When you get to decide which new products stood out from the crowd, and which deserve superstar status. That’s right, it’s time for the 2012 Glosscars!

Loads of fantastic new beauty buys hit the shelves in 2011, but not all of them can nab a coveted Glosscar award – which is exactly why we need YOU. Because you’re all such bona fide beauty addicts, we’re letting you choose our glossy winners! It’s as simple as telling us which new beauty buys you loved last year. Here’s a reminder of how it all works…

The nominations

Beautyheaven invited the beauty industry to nominate award-worthy new products within a range of beauty categories. To be eligible for this year’s Glosscar nominations, products must have been launched onto the Australian market between January 1st and December 31st, 2011 and be available for review on beautyheaven.com.au.

How to vote

We’ve gathered the nominations together, now you be the judge! Simply submit a review and star rating for your favourite nominees and the star rating will count as points towards the coveted award. To give your favourite beauty buys an extra boost, you’ll also have the opportunity to award three products the following secret points:

1 x 20 point vote

1 x 10 point vote

1 x 5 point vote

These three extra special votes should go to products you’re seriously silly over and would love to see win a Glosscar award. Please note you will only have the opportunity to vote in the secret ballot once, and you must vote for three different products (from any category) for your secret ballot to be counted.

The product in each category with the highest number of points (from star ratings and secret votes) at the end of the voting period will be awarded a 2012 Glosscar award. Should a tie occur, reviews for the products in question will be considered, and a winner determined by beautyheaven’s editorial team.

Please note: if you have previously reviewed a product (before February 26th, 2012) that’s now nominated but feel it’s worthy of a Glosscar award, you are able to submit a second review.

Voting closes at midnight on Sunday 18th March 2012.

Want to win the ultimate in beauty booty? Once the votes have been cast we’ll be giving away packs containing winning product to 15 lucky members! These must-have goodie packs are valued on average at over $1000 each, and will be awarded to the 15 members who we believe have contributed the most valuable (quality, not necessarily quantity!) reviews throughout the voting process.
