Get the look: party pizzazz

Let’s face it, stepping into a room full of people you barely know is daunting so don’t let crummy cosmetics and a hyped-up hair do hinder your chances of making an impression – or pulling a hot new date, for that matter.
Need inspiration? Not a problem; try one of these styles for starters…

Look 1:

Smokin’ siren with Scarlett Johansson

Make-up:

ScarJo opts for an exaggerated eye for this red carpet look. Although she was a little heavy handed with her Black Mavala Switzerland Eye-lite Kohl Kajal. Naughty? No! To mimic her look, be sure to line the upper lash line as close to the lid as you can, and use the middle of your pointer finger to smudge it up into the middle of your lid – creating a blurred line.
Then coat the bottom inner rim – no smudging.
Follow your lids around the curved crevasses with a dark grey shadow like Clinque Colour Surge Eye Shadow Stay Matte in Slate and flick out to touch the tip of your eyebrow.

To add a pinch of colour to your face, massage some Estée Lauder Signature Satin Creme Blush in Berry Light to your apples and over your pout to create a base colour. Follow that up with a serious slick of Burt’s Bees Super Shiny Lip Gloss in Sweet Pink.

Hair:

For the long-haired lasses among us, this up-do is fabulously fuss-free (and do-able in under 10 minutes), all you’ll need is your trusty Remington Pro Curls (CI76). Firstly, be sure not to brush your locks, just separate sections with your fingers and twirl around the tong – when the whole head is complete, twist the lengths of the hair into a loose bun that sits to the right-hand side of the neck and pin with Scunci No Slip Grip Bobby Pins so it’s secure all night.
