Get the look: party pizzazz – page 4

Let’s face it, stepping into a room full of people you barely know is daunting so don’t let crummy cosmetics and a hyped-up hair do hinder your chances of making an impression – or pulling a hot new date, for that matter.
Need inspiration? Not a problem; try one of these styles for starters…

Look 4:

Glitzy gold with Charlize Theron

Theron sports a gorgeous golden sheen. To get the look, begin with a light, clear base. Jane Iredale Mineral Makeup Dream Tint is perfect, as it minimises the appearance of fine lines and pores for a flawless finish, whilst providing SPF protection. A little Rimmel London Mousse Blush in Peach Ice Tea on your apples will give a warm glow. Next up, break out your Napoleon Perdis Gilty Pleasures Gold Digger Glimmer shadow, and apply liberally around the socket as you would with a charcoal colour for a smoky eye. (Note: don’t forget the brow bone, it needs to shimmer too!)
Finish up with a volumising swish of your Benefit Get Bent Lash Mascara and a dabbing of Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics Lip Gloss in Demure. Mmm… enchanting.

Goldilocks and wondrous waves is the name of the game with this party look (although brunettes and red heads should also feel free to try). To achieve perfect curls – whether hair is long or short – old school rollers are probably your best bet.
Remington Professional Jumbo Curls come with a selection of different sizes for all hair lengths and will give locks body without being too spirally. Round off this 1940s inspired style with a spritz of Matrix Vavoom Size Me Up Finishing Spritz and pin one side of your hair up with a pretty hair clip; we can’t get over Urban Originals Lady America Hair Clip for understated elegance.
