bh’s Beth reviews SK-II Facial Treatment Mask

1. Had you heard of this product before? What were your expectations?

I hadn’t heard of this mask before, but I was expecting great things as SK-II has such a good reputation. I hoped the famed Pitera ingredient would give my skin a much needed hit of hydration, as it’s become quite dry in some areas due to the cooler weather and moisturiser alone hasn’t been enough!

2. What were your first impressions upon using the product?

The mask was absolutely saturated with serum – lucky I was in the bathroom as there was quite a bit of residue! The mask feels so cool and hydrating when placed on my face. Spreading it out across my face with my fingers helped the serum spread more evenly. It felt amazing.

3. After continued use of the product what did you notice about the quality of your skin?

In the past two weeks I’ve used two of these sheet masks and they have really improved my skin’s texture, making it feel really plump and hydrated. My foundation now goes on more easily, but I’m also not feeling the need to wear as much as my bare skin looks so bright and radiant! It feels like I’ve had a facial.

4. Do you think this product has earned its status as iconic – why/why not?

Yes, I can definitely see why this face mask would be called iconic! From the glamorous silver foil packaging to the sheer amount of luxurious serum on the mask itself, it’s very much a premium pampering product. Apparently in Japan, it’s commonly used by brides every day for a week leading up to their wedding. Personally I think that might be going a tad overboard as it’s not exactly a budget buy, but I can understand the obsession – the results speak for themselves!
