Sensitive Very Gentle Hydra-Mask Reviews

I haven't risked a face mask in a very long time. I was somewhat hesitant to try this especially when the intructions stated to 'Apply a thick layer'. Once I started applying said layer, I was suprised how much of the mask absorbed instantly into my skin. I then happily slapped on huge globs of the mask and got cracking getting myself and my daughter ready for school/work. Mid-breakfast preparation, my sleepy daughter wandered into the kitchen. "Morning gorgeous" I chirped, leaning into for a morning kiss, only to see my daughter recoil in revulsion. "WHAT is THAT on your face??" "Don't worry! It's only a face mask darling, to make me look young and gorgeous!" "Oh. But, erm, well, I'm sorry but it's not working Mum. There's weird patches all over your face!" "Oh hon, I'm not finished with it yet. I'll rub off the excess later". 10 minutes later, I flounced into the front room for the big reveal. "Ta daaa! Whaddya think hon?" I asked. She looked me dead in the eyes "Well, er, you don't look younger". "Oh. Oh well" I replied, a touch deflated. She continued "You just look like a shinier you. And I think you are beautiful Mum". (:

I used the Trilogy Sensitive Very Gentle Hydra-Mask for the first time, and I was very impressed with this product.
The product itself is a custard yellow colour, and is a great consistency - not too thick and not too thin either,
The cream is fragrance free so there isn't a scent as such, which I liked.
The packaging is lovely; the inner part of the cardboard box has a pretty floral feature which looks nice.
Using the little spatula that is included with the mask, I applied a layer of the cream to my face and neck area, and left it for about 10-15 minutes.
After rinsing the cream off, my skin felt softer and less dry. The cooler weather has left my skin rather dry so this was really nice to treat my skin and bring back some much-needed moisture. I would recommend this product as it is very good value for money, and it is a gentle product that is suitable for all skin types.

My skin has become more sensitive over recent years so I’ve been looking at swapping out products in my skincare regime for sensitive-friendly options.

The Trilogy Sensitive Very Gentle Hydra Mask sounded perfect for me. It claims to nourish and protect reactive skin while deeply hydrating and aiding moisture recovery. The packaging is okay. The glass jar is nice and it comes with a spatula but the plastic lid feels a little cheap.

You don’t use this like you would a typical face mask where you apply a thin layer, let it dry and then wash it off. You need to apply a thick layer, let it sit and then wipe away the excess. My skin always feels so incredibly soft, hydrated, plumped and soothed after using this.

It won’t do anything for blemishes or acne, it’s just really good for hydration. This mask would be perfect for anyone with dry, sensitive skin

Receiving this product as a BH trial got me excited when I read the words 'sensitive' and 'hydra'. Two of my greatest skin problems is ultra sensitive skin and dehydrated, dull looking skin.
When I held this gem in my hands I first noticed the packaging. Super adorable box with the most serene print in the inside and the jar felt nice in my hands with its frosted brown glass. Also another little surprise was a tiny spatula to get the product out, which I loved as it made it more hygienic and easier to spread the mask out evenly.
The product is a soft yellow shade, almost like custard (mmmmm custard) and feels so soft and silky to touch.
Now getting to the main part, the results. In one word...AMAZING!!
After the first go I realised I used a little too much, a little goes a long way!
As it's a mask you don't need to rinse it off, most of the product sinks into your skin, leaving it plump, radiant and silky smooth.
My super dehydrated areas are my under eyes and around my mouth (laughing lines) and this is where my skin soaked up most of the glorious mask.
All ingredients are natural containing Maqui Berry Oil and Sweet Almond Oil. This mask has the slightest scent, not over powering at all.
I will continue to use this product as it has become my number one mask. I'm so happy with it.

My beauty routine is rather basic. Wash, maybe moisturise and walk out the door. Yes, I meant maybe, my skin is dry to normal and is sensitive. So, for me I find it best to allow my skin to develop its own oils and avoid makeup as much as I can. When I was offered to trial Trilogy Very Gentle Hydra-Mask 60ml, I was excited to try the product. After all it is fragrance free dermatologically tested and had Glycerin which is one of my favourite ingredients for skin restoration. I find products with Glycerin are generally a firmer liquid, like it has substance and needs to be rubbed in or it can slowly seep in.

The container is really sleek with a white and pale pink box. It comes in a little jar, when I opened it I was overwhelmed by the delicious nutty scent. It comes with a spatula for easy application. The cream has a slight yellow tinge and is reasonably thick like I presumed.

I found when using it approximately three times a week my skin was hydrated and generally had a more even complexion. The cream has three key ingredients;
Maqui berry oil is deeply moisturising and helps protect against free radical damage
Sweet almond oil to help hydrate and protect reactive skin
SyriCalm helps strengthen the weakened skin barrier leaving skin hydrated soft and calm.

How to use: Apply a thick layer to a clean, dry face and neck. Allow to absorb for 10-15 minutes and remove excess. Do not use on broken skin.

Trilogy Sensitive Very Gentle Hydra-Mask is packaged in a small square white box with a baby soft peach top. When I opened the box the first thing I noticed was a picture of a fluffy make a wish plant that has gone to seed. All dewy and I really felt like blowing on it ☺.

The 60ml brown frosted jar has a black screw top lid with a pretty peach label. A small black spatula is provided to scoop the product and to stop contamination (I used the other end of the spatula to help spread the mask).

The mask reminds me of mixed butter cake batter (yummo) but with beautiful natural nourishing ingredients. It contains maqui berry, syricalm and sweet almond. I have used this mask one to two times a week for the past month and I am loving everything about it. I am sure it has ironed out a few crinkles in my face and I haven’t had any rashes!!!

The pretty yellow colour reminds me of a thicker version of my beloved Dramatically Different Moisturiser. No knock you over smell and I love the little spatula for scooping the product so I don’t have to use my fingers. I found that a generous full scoop was enough to cover my whole face.

I applied the mask after cleansing and left it for 15 minutes and tried to wipe the excess off except there was no excess. My skin has been really dry and thirsty this winter and I have not had to remove any residue after using this product. It doesn’t leave me feeling greasy at all! My skin feels really hydrated, silky and just beautiful. I love, love, love this mask and can’t wait to try more of this range!!!

The product comes in a nice little glass jar and does include an applicator which you can use to make sure it is hygienic. It is a pale yellow coloured cream that is easy to apply.

The product has a bit of a soft fragrance but I found it dissipated quickly after it was applied. The texture is smooth but thick so it sits on top of the skin a bit rather than being quickly absorbed (this is indicated on the directions as it says to wipe the excess off after 15 minutes, but usually I just went to bed and left it). For this reason, I only use this product at night time as I don’t have time in the morning to wait for it and I don’t want something that heavy on during the day, as well as the fact it does not contain sunscreen.

I used this product alongside the Restoring Oil so it is hard to separate the effect of each product but did find that they left my skin feeling hydrated and smooth. I had no problems using it on my fairly sensitive skin but I also didn’t notice any positive (or negative) impact on the look of my skin aside from it being well hydrated.

I probably wouldn’t purchase this product again as it is quite expensive, and the intended use (apply thickly, wipe off after 15 mins) is not very convenient for me.

The product itself is a lot thinner in consistency than what I was expecting for a hydrating mask, but that didn't detract from it's ability to perform!

I used this mask 2 times a week at night and tried two different ways of using it.. When I was time poor, I slathered it on and slept in the mask overnight. Other times I wiped off the excess after 15 minutes and continued with a minimal skin care routine - I found there wasn't much more my skin needed after the mask.

I loved the results and look of my skin the next morning. My skin was hydrated, plump and free of any dryness, and there was definitely no signs of flaky skin to be seen!

I've tried a lot of masks in the past and can definitely recommend this one!

This mask comes in a luxe brown glass jar, there is a spatula to use for scooping up this creamy goodness. Box in itself is beautiful, outside peachy pink, inside there is a print of fluffy plants with dewdrops. Just beautiful, I kept the packaging, also easy to store both the mask and spatula. The scent is that of cold pressed extra virgin oils, very pleasant and oh so natural!

The colour of this crème is rich bright yellow like sunshine in a tub! Colour of happiness. And yes, it brings happiness to my skin too!

After having issues with my local city tap water (very dirty and with strong odour), my whole skin on the body and face went angry. Eczema blotches appeared on body in places (for first time in my whole 4 decades of life!) and face was irritated, blotchy, with dehydration and roughness and clogged pores. After getting to use Trilogy Sensitive Restoring Oil and this Mask, the irritation just went away gradually.

I apply one spatula measure of this mask all over face, and let it sink in (eye area including). It just sinks in so fast, that I do not have to rub off the excess, as there was none. The skin gets to be dewy, and where I have huge pores there are dewdrops appearing after mask gets in the skin. Fascinating.

The mask can be used daily, or whenever one needs the boost in hydration and nourishment, plus to calm any irritations. My skin calmed down, became hydrated again, blotches vanished, pores clean and finally can breathe (oddly mask is rich in oils, and my combo skin loves the mask!). My skin is smooth and soft and so healthy again (minus my persistent melasma aka pigmentation acquired from decades of sun worship and not using spf...woops).
