British Rose Fresh Plumping Mask Reviews

This mask looks and feels very much gel like and so easy to apply. It spreads really nicely and you can control the kind of thickness you want to go with - I like to apply a medium thick layer so my skin can get enough nourishment.

Apart from the texture, I also loved the fragrance of this mask - very rosy and dewy that gives such a soothing feel. Although there were some flowery bits in there and not like petal parts but the little stamens that I thought was mildly annoying. Initially for couple of minutes I had mild tingling sensation but nothing that bothered a lot or even lasted long but those with sensitive skin should definitely do a patch test. After keeping it on for about 20 minutes, I washed it off and oh boy! it took me a whole lot of warm water, massaging and still help from a face towel to get rid of it. Once all cleaned up, I could notice my skin visibly hydrated and plump. Unfortunately this effect lasted merely few hours. Still probably worth an application right before an important event but might not repurchase.

I had received a sample of this Body Shop British Rose Plumping Mask which I tried recently and could get two uses out of this sample sachet. This face mask contains real rose petals and essence of hand-picked roses to replenish the skin’s water reserves, rosehip oil which is rich in omega-3 & 6 and aloe vera which is known for its calming and soothing properties.

It is a transparent, rose-hued jelly like consistency mask with bits of rose petal in it. I absolutely loved the rosy floral scent of this mask and it feels very refreshing to use. The mask just glides easily onto the skin and even when the product is dried my skin does not feel tight or uncomfortable rather it feels slightly sticky. However, after the mask was washed off, I did not find the result to be highly effective. My skin certainly looked soft & bright but my dry skin was not left feeling hydrated or plumped as per the product claims which was very disappointing to me. Immediately after rinsing I had to follow it up with a moisturiser. I feel this mask is better suited for oily to normal skin types whereas dry skin types would not find this mask hydrating enough for their skin.

Overall this mask smells divine and feels lovely as you put it on but due to the lack of its after effects on my dry skin I do not see myself buying a full size product of this mask.

Unfortunately, this one just didn't work for me and I'm still not sure why. The product itself is lovely. As you would expect with The Body Shop, the ingredients are largely natural and ethically sourced. It is a quality product for a reasonable price.

The mask itself looks a lot like jam and has a lovely subtle rose scent. I've used it twice, and each time my normally reasonably sedate skin immediately became red and irritated. After removing the mask, the redness remained for some time, and my skin was left feeling extremely dry. Normally I do ok with Body Shop products, so I'm not sure what it is with this mask that just didn't agree with me.

This face mask is beautiful. It's incredibly moisturising, which is normally not what I look for in a mask, but this one is absolutely amazing.

It leaves the skin feeling smooth and soft, and freshens up any dry patches that I'm having. This mask makes my skin feel amazing after I've washed it off, and the effects last at least a few days.

It also has the lovely british rose scent, which is fresh and feminine. The scent adds to the luxury of the product.

I will definitely repurchase this mask when I run out.

I love everything about this product. I normally repel from rose scents but this has an amayyzing smell. It is almost a clear gel with pink tinge to it . I apply it after the himalayan charcoal mask as a moisturizing mask. While one draws out impurities, this one hydrates the skin. Not a lot of it is needed, i apply a thin film and let it stay on for about 15 mins. Then using a damp cloth , i clean it off. It does not dry off very "dry" .

Product comes boxed and inside is a heavy 75ml glass jar with screw top lid and is made in the UK. It has the texture of a thick yellow gel with bits of rose petal in it. It is the loveliest, most feminine rose scent ever, it's divine. The scent alone sucked me right into purchasing! I find it deeply relaxing and soothing. It's not that fake "old lady perfume" type of rose, it's a sweet, real rose scent.

Instructions say cleanse skin then apply an even layer on a wet face. Leave on for 5-10 minutes then rinse with water (2-3 times per week). Once applied to the skin it dries down and gets a little sticky, but it felt very nice on my skin, no irritation or other negative effects, just soft, smooth skin. It could be a little more hydrating and that is why I am deducting one star, once rinsed there is little evidence of any lasting nourishing layer. The consultant in store did recommend to remove it with a soft, damp cloth and when I do it that way it feels a little more nourishing - maybe my water at home is too stripping?

I’d highly recommend buying several of these and multi-masking, using the more polishing and purifying versions on your oilier areas and the lovely hydrating ones on the rest of the face. Really good value too, they really do last as you don’t need a lot of product to make an even layer. I do find this one to be almost an aromatherapy mask for me, the honey version is a little more hydrating but this one definitely has a place because of that lovely smell!

This face mask is packaged so beautifully. It comes in a brown jar with a bronze/gold label. It looks very luxe.

When I first open the lid, I'm instantly hit with a very strong floral scent, it's not quite the same rose scent I get from roses on Valentine's Day.

The mask looks like a jelly with tiny pieces of rose petals. It's very light in texture.

It's very easy to put on my face. It just glides on.

I can't quite get it to go on thicker or layer it on my face, the face mask stays very light and thin.

After 10 minutes, I wash it off and my skin is left feeling very soft and hydrated.

After a few uses, I am slowly getting used to the strong fragrances of the face mask.

The mask has a gel/jelly-like consistency and is slightly yellow with a beautiful sweet rose scent to it. I love the scent and I it is certainly very refreshing to use. It is also very easy to be applied evenly onto skin. I have tried using a very thin layer and also on other occasions a thicker layer. I prefer to use thicket layer as i feel that the thin layer tend to dry up a lot quicker. Even when the product is dried, my skin does not feel tight and uncomfortable, rather it feel slightly sticky.

I have really enjoyed using the mask. However, after it is washed off, I do not find the result to be highly effective. My skin certainly feels soft and supple to touch, but I do not feel that it is very hydrating or plumping, and I feel that an immediate application of hydrating serum and moisturiser is still necessary to make my skin feel hydrated.

Overall I do not mind using it again as it is very nice to use, but because of the lack of results I probably will not re-purchase.

I received several sachets of this mask so I tried it on a few times prior to writing this review. The British Rose is tauted as a "fresh plumping mask." It is a transparent, rose-hued, jelly like consistency mask with bits of rose petal in it (the inclusion of which escapes me, other than for purely decorative purposes). It has a sweet floral scent of which I'm not a fan. Its clearly a synthetic fragrance, and possibly a skin irritant.

I apply a thin layer to my face and jawline. This mask is easy to spread and apply. It feels a bit sticky on my face and the rose floral scent is a bit too saccharine sweet for me. The inclusion of the denat. alcohol as the 7th ingredient is a tad scary as it is a skin irritant. I'm unable to relax knowing this is included in the mask. There are a few redeeming ingredients in this mask; glycerin, RHO and aloe vera being a few of it. However, I want to see active ingredients in my skincare and I'm disappointed to see there are none (that I know of).

Overall, I don't think this is a mask I will purchase. I think skincare should be free of skin irritating ingredients and made up of skin actives and this was not the case with The Body Shop British Rose mask.
