The surprising beauty benefits of Dry July

Dry July is just two sleeps away, and I for one am pretty excited to put a ban on the booze!
Having made it through Feb Fast last year, I can attest to the myriad of health benefits and general sense of achievement – not to mention the dollars saved.

I like having a few alcoholic beverages once in a while when I'm out with other people but I rarely drink at home. It's crazy how expensive a night of drinking can get! I would MUCH rather a shopping trip and enjoy my haul of goodies than feel sorry for myself after too many drinks the night before haha

Thats a great concept, swapping alcohol with beauty buys. I would definitely use the money on beauty products instead of alcohol

I rarely drink and I honestly save so much money by not having to buy drinks every time I go out!

For me it's dry everyday :p I almost never consume alcohol just simply because I don't like the taste (sidenote: I also worry it might age me...)

Even though I have heard the term Dry July advertised, I actually have never met anyone doing it. I guess if you were one to also celebrate Christmas in July then it could clash with the celebrations.

I haven't drank in a while, since i've settled down now. I can afford many more beauty buys without the expensive nights out!

I'm incredibly proud of our son who has raised quite a lot for Dry July over the last few years. His Dad had a serious cancer issue, thankfully he is in remission, but our son was so impressed with the care his Dad was given as well as the support for me that he wanted to give something back.

Yes! Alcohol and going out clubbing is so, so expensive (especially when you factor in club entry fees and taxi rides home) - so glad I'm past the partying stage of my life!

I don't drink, unless it is supplied for free in functions. Speaking of which, I work in a toxic industry where unlimited alcohol WILL be supplied in all internal and external functions. It is so wrong.

I'm not a huge drinker. I tend only to drink at work functions or special occasions like weddings, etc.

I must say, you've put the bh team to shame, beauties! We love our Friday work drinks... haha. I'm really impressed by the number of you who don't drink at all... not even the odd glass of wine after a tough week! All power to you. xx

I rarely drink anyway.
BTW, I own the Lady Jayne metal ponytail bow, the ponytail cuff also the semi-cuff not pictured. The ponytail cuff is very heavy if you suffer migraines like me. I love the bow & the semi-cuff & recommend both highly.

Dry July encourages people to give up alcohol for the month of July and raise funds for cancer patients and their families and carers.
